About:

i guess i should write something here... lol

i'm a car nut, plain and simple... i live, breathe, eat, sleep, cars... my 2 jobs, car related.... my garage, full of car parts, and wheels and tires... my calendar on the wall, cars, my ringtones on my phone, cars... need i continue? lol

the interest started at a young age with my dad sitting me down in front of the family vehicles when he'd work on them.  whether it was an oil change, changine the spark plugs, or something more involved, i was there watching and learning...

now i make a living off it!  by day i work at a tire shop as a high performance tire tech, changing everything from your basic street tires, to hoosier racing slicks, not to mention on some pretty badass wheels(did i mention we sell Volk Racing wheels? ;) )by evening, i work at a parts store locally as a parts "guru" and i feel both jobs fit me well.

aside from work, i work on my own fleet of vehicles, my prize posession being my 1997 Dodge Neon sport.  We've been through a lot, and we keep logging miles together.  started out as my "winter beater" until my other "toy" met an early demise sliding into a car on an ice patch on my way to work one morning....  after that, the focus landed squarely on this little black 2-door coupe.  a bigger engine from a Dodge stratus was sourced for a bottom end.(bigger than the stock displacment) transmission and clutch were next on the agenda, with a ACR spec transmission being the only choice, and a non-modular clutch being mated to it.  suspension already had some "tweaks" from it's daily driver duties, as friends don't let friends drive their cars in stock form ;)... koni adjustable struts with a set of mopar performance "high rate" lowering springs found their way on to the car with all the rubber bushings getting pitched in favor of stiffer polyurethane units at all suspension mounting points.  in putting the car together, other "bolt-on" modifications found their way into the mix, a cold air intake from Iceman, a performance computer tuned by mopar performance, crankshaft underdrive pulley from Unorthodox Racing, a short tube header from Pacesetter, high flow catylitic convertor from Catco, and a cat-back exhaust from Dynomax...  once that was all assembled, i realized i needed a little more braking capibilitity to harness all this new-found power on the racetrack and on the street, so the rear drums found their way to the scrap heap in favor of the stock ACR-spec disk brakes, and the stock front calipers were traded in on a set of larger units sourced from a Chrysler 300M.  by now you're thinking that this guy is crazy and should be locked away in a looney bin, but i'm not done yet!  all of this stop-go-turn abilities were really throwing me around in the seat, so the stocker was ripped out to make room for a Corbeau Forza bucket with a Simpson link-and-latch style 5-point harness to keep me snug in the fabric, and not kissing the side glass or winshield when things got a little dicey at the track.  the shifter needed some attention as well, and when i decided to put in a new one, MaddogSTS was contacted to create a one-of-a-kind piece utlizing an actual dodge viper leather-wrapped knob.  with a 51% reduction in throw over the stock shifter, this neon was now ready to tear up the track like it had never dreamed of when it rolled off the assembly line just 2 hours away in belvedere illinois.  many an onlooker have chuckled a little as i'd pull up to the line to start an autocross run, or a drag strip pass, but when i put the pedal down, that grin on their face, becomes a grin on mine and their jaw drops.  not many people understand why i've done this "franken-neon", but they can for sure appreciate the results!

Mission Statement:

Giving no less than our absolute all in going for the Bullrun WIN since Bullrun should expect nothing less of its participants.

Yoosof, This is for you Buddy!

About My Team:

Team Heat Seeker is ready for the Bullrun Challenge!

My good friend John & I have been through alot together especially when it comes to car related things.  We met in 2004 at a local car club function and now participate together at track events on a regular basis. We have trust in each others decision making and driving ability as well as a high level of confidence in ourselves & each other.

When we are working the MFBA Road America track events, we work side by side among others teching cars and working on other issues as they arise. We are both seasoned drivers with John specializing in longer road courses and higher speed events.

FUN!  We have tons of fun whatever it is we're doing and we're looking forward to LOTS of it on the BULLRUN!
