My Name is John and my hometown is Milwaukee, WI. We are the home of Miller Beer, Summerfest & Harley Davidson. Whether its driving, working on mine or others cars, talking shop, watching races, helping others with thier projects, or on-track coaching- the gasoline is definitely in my veins. I own an Australian Bearded Dragon, Mario and I enjoy being out and doing as much stuff as possible. Usually its car related, but that's OK with me! I'm an aircraft mechanic and primarily work on hydraulic, fuel & de-icing systems on aircraft made by Airbus and Bomardier. I also have over 10 years experience in designing, installing and troubleshooting mid to high end Home Theatre systems in the Milwaukee & Chicago areas. Having a degree in Electrical Engineering, I am able to get technical on things if I have to. I purchased my Trans Am in January 1997 and within days of having it, I was already ordering parts for it. A few months after that I participated in my 1st track touring event at Road America, located in Elkhart lake, WI... and have been hooked since! Modifications to my T/A now include road race suspension, built naturally asperated motor, big brakes for big stopping and bigger wheels for a bit more traction. In 1999, I founded a high-speed/non-competitive event at Road America for my club, the Midwest F-Body Association. Our 1st event was in April of 2000 and now the event is going into its 9th year running. The event as well as many of its participants enjoy multi-year coverage in fine magazines such as 'Popular Hotrodding' and 'Speed, Style & Sound'. Another thing I like doing is going on car cruises. I've been on 5 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tours and countless other cruises. While parked in front of the Edelbrock display during the 2005 Power Tour stop at the Grand 'Ol Opry in Nashville, TN; Vic Edelbrock jr caught interest in my car and asked quite a few questions about it. He then autographed it on the passenger shock tower and posed for pictures! The T/A and I had an article with 3 other awesome red cars in the September '04 issue of Popular Hotrodding Magazine. The acticle was titled "The Greatful Red" and 'we' were in the great company of a Doug Rippie Z06, Dodge Viper and a '00 Mustang Cobra R. Since 2005, I've been a regular kart racer at Chicago Indoor Racing in Buffalo Grove, IL and soon will be carving canyons at thier new facility in Addison,IL. I'm always looking for new and exciting things to get involed with and welcome any oppertunity that comes my way. Doing anything Motor Sport related in my opinion is a privilege and I'm very greatful & indebted to all who've been supportive, given me oppertunities and those who've sparked 'ideas' with what I've been able to do so far. No more typing, time for driving! -John
Mission Statement:
Giving no less than our absolute all in going for the Bullrun WIN since Bullrun should expect nothing less of its participants.
About My Team:
Team Heat Seeker is ready for the Bullrun Challenge! My good friend Josh & I have been through alot together especially when it comes to car related things. We met in 2004 at a local car club function and now participate together at track events on a regular basis. We have trust in each others decision making and driving ability as well as a high level of confidence in ourselves & each other. When we are working the MFBA Road America track events, we work side by side among others teching cars and working on other issues as they arise. We are both seasoned drivers with Josh specializing in Autocross while getting more into larger track and higher speed venues like Road America. FUN! We have tons of fun whatever it is we're doing and we're looking forward to LOTS of it on the BULLRUN!
