I've been addicted to driving since before I could (legally) and have had a lot of fun pushing my limits in order to try to learn them (yep, still workin' on that). Nothing better than driving my S2000 but I couldn't talk Mitch into Bullrunning with it so we'll take his Chevelle - I'd never admit to him that it might be faster - well, but only on a straight run, I'd stomp him on curves... Also, he has a two body trunk, much better for a couple of weeks on the road. I've wanted to rally since I first saw Cannonball Run the year I first got a license (yeah, I'm that old). Also the Bluesmobile was probably the best rally car in history, hopefully we won't do that much damage to the Chevelle... But hey, as my brother says, "I can fix it again..." I'm really looking forward to this run because it's the only way my brother will let me drive his car.

About My Team:
We can both drive, we can both navigate, and we both have opinions on how things should be done. Mitch has more time behind the wheel of musclecars but I'm more creative at figuring out the fastest and funnest way to get to our destination. My brother is the best driver I know, which is why I'm willing to commit to this crazy thing with him. He's also willing to bring me along and potentially damage his baby (uh, I mean a little scratch here or there, not like I'm going to ever crack an exhaust manifold or anything, that was my car). (and hey, I fixed it myself, credit here?) If you add in our competitive drive, spirited bantering and off the wall humor, this is the team that will be fun to watch from the beginning, and root for all the way to the end. We will wreak havoc on the roads, instigate riots among players and if we don't kill each other on the trip, we will make some of those other drivers look silly as we ally with, feud against and ultimately manipulate them to gain an advantage.

My Biggest Strength:
We don't get lost, period. The men in our family are known for their uncanny sense of direction. Combine that with our ability to make creative interpretations of the rules and we can't lose. Our strength allows us to get to our destination without even using a map. Side note - the women in our family call our special skill a confounded sense of direction, because we have taken the long way sometimes. The really long way.... |
