Our family has a deep obsession with Motorsports. My father was a young engineer at the Packard Factory in the 1920's.  Later on he was a grand opera singer in Italy and became good friends with Enzo Ferrari.  In 1972 Enzo invited me to visit the Ferrari factory in Maranello.  There were no regular tours in those days.  They found an English speaking executive who gave me a three hour tour of everything he could think of to show me, including their old quarter scale wind tunnel in a back room.  One of the highlights for me was "playing" with gears out of the Formula 1 cars and sticking my fingers in the intake ports of the flat 12 cylinder engines.  Like a kid in a candy store.    

My dad would be 102 if he were alive today.  He was still driving 50,000 miles a year in his seventies.  The very best father-son experiences we had were road trips. We talked at length about all the old cars, and engines from his day.  When I was sixteen I found an old 1937 Packard and restored it.  It was cool but,,,it wasn't fast.   I was a motorcycle mechanic at the age of 16 in a dirt bike shop in Tucson.  I found a 1965  911 Porsche in a barn in Germany, cheap, when I was 18, which I brought back to the States and rebuilt.  It was very fast.  I still made it through college with a B.A. in History, went to Law School, but dropped out and went to Hollywood in a Punk Rock band in 1979.  Along the way I picked up a 308GT-4 Ferrari.  Fast, awesome handling, but too expensive to keep running. I have had many four-wheel drive trucks and jeeps, but other than that first Packard, I have never owned a regular car, ever.  Only Sports Cars and Four Wheel Drives. I was on Junkyard Wars in 2002, "Metal Medics", the Powerboat episode.  We got a free trip to England, and built a fast ass boat in just 10 hours, but our team captain, ER doctor Bill, flipped it and we lost.  These days I am a motorcycle & ATV dealer in Silver City, New Mexico. We carry Suzuki, Polaris, Can-Am, Aprilia and Vespa.

My son Skyler is a very talented rider and driver.  He started on ATVs at age 10 and transitioned to motorcycles at age 16.  He rides both street and dirt, and can wheelie for miles.  One of his favorite stunts is to pass cars on our back country roads on his rear wheel. He rides a GSX-R750 on the street and "drags knee" with his friends.  We have a 2 acre motocross track in our back yard.  He is a Junior at NMSU in Las Cruces with a 3.5 grade average in Finance.  He got an A in Calculus!  He is a really great kid.  We have a great time together. 

This is a father-son team.  We are both excellent drivers.  We have a lot of experience racing dirtbikes, atvs, four-wheel drive trucks, and sports cars. I am an excellent navigator, having traveled throughout Europe and the U.S. and being a "bareboat skipper" sailing up to 50" yachts in the Virgin Islands, throughout the Caribbean, Florida Keys, Sea of Cortez, So. Cal and Tahiti.    But our greatest strength is our Father-Son relationship, which has been built around motorsports.  We have so much fun together, from going to the bike races at Laguna Seca and Supercross in Phoenix to watching Formula 1, MotoGP and BullRun on Speed !  I am his support team when he races, and just this last September I won my first -first place trophy in 30 years drag racing ATVs at the AZATV Outlaw Jamboree in Springerville, Arizona!
