Age: 27
Occupation: Parts Manager

About:

Im just a country boy from Greenwood Va. Went to Western Albemarle High School, and did a semester at Blue Ridge Community College. I met my wonderful wife while in high school and have been with her ever since. We even have the same birthday, and were born in the same hospital together...and yes, even in the same year ;-) My grandfather owned the local Volvo dealer in Charlottesville Va, so I have always been into Volvos, and cars general. He was like my father and did all the father stuff with me as a kid. He gave me an opportunity as a young man, and I credit him for where I have been able to go today in my life and job.  He sold the dealership in 2004, the year after I moved away to Hampton Roads Va to help my wife fufill her dream of being an attorney. In July of 2004 he was diagnosed with cancer of the lung. That cancer spread to his liver and in August of 2005 he died of complications from it. He was born in Greenwood and was a good old counry boy like myself.  He was a self made man, and I can only hope to be half the man he was.

I like all types of car racing, NASCAR, drag racing, street racing etc. Car action Movies are a must, Smokey and the Bandit, Cannon Ball Run, Crazy Larry Dirty Mary, Bullett, The Fast and The Furious, Gone in 60 Seconds, and my all time favorite TV series Dukes of Hazzard.  I have a car buying addiction, I buy rare Volvos, I know its not everybodys thing, but its what I like.  I have 12 Volvos that range from years 73-05 and most are fairly rare. I also have a Tahoe, and a 69 Dodge Charger aka "The General Lee" and yes it is a replica of the Tv series car.

Mission Statement:

With precision driving and team work we will come out ahead of the rest.

About My Team:

Brian and I have been best friends for 22 years.  We met back when we were 5 years old when my mom and I moved in next door in Greenwood Va. Ever since then we have been great friends. We used to play matchbox cars in the dirt when we were that age, and as we got older we progressed into blowing things up. (Brian is a piro)  My family used to own a Volvo dealer in Charlottesville Va, so I was really into Volvos as a kid. Everyone in my family drives them and I used to be picked on for liking "grandma's family car", but if you have ever owned a turbocharged Volvo, you know they can catch you off guard.  Brian used to make fun of me of liking them too. Later in life he went to Nashville Auto Diesel College and got an associates degree.  Afterward he started working on heavy equipment at a place called James River Equipment in Fishersville Va. I hounded him for a couple of years to come and work on Volvos at my familys shop because there was more money in it.  He finally broke down and gave it a shot, and to this day still works on Volvos for a living and has a few of his own, including a highly modded 850 Turbo. Lets just say he caught the fever.   I now live in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and now work at Freedom Volvo in Va Beach as the parts manager. We remain best friends and have always wanted to go on a Cannon Ball Bullrun.

The car is a 1995 Volvo 850 T-5R, in that year Volvo only brought 185 of these cars to the US market in Yellow.  137 sedans and 48 Wagons. This car has a custom Speedtuning ECU map, with a set of TME sport springs, and 35% tint from the front doors back.  Other then that the car is stock. Wheels, Color, and interior are all factory. Its a rare car that will catch mosts peoples eyes.  It just not something you see everyday.
