A little about myself.  I'm always looking for competition.  My father raised me to be the best in anything I did and thats how I get my edge.  I'm not saying that I don't know how to lose but that's definitely not the first option.  In school I was captain of the football team as a quarterback, baseball team as a pitcher, and in the basketball team as point guard.  Now after I graduated high school and moved on to college I had the opportunity to try out for the football team.  Now many said I was too short and too small for a quarterback but that didn't stop me.  I went ahead and tried out and made the Southwest Texas State football team.  On top of that I was moved up to 3rd string quarterback.  Not bad for a 5'11" 189 pound quarterback.  Moving forward in my life; I married my high school sweetheart and have two beautiful children, Madison (Daddy's little princess) and Santi (My little pappas).  They are the love of my life and the reason for me entering this Bullrun competition.  I want to secure their future by making sure their college is in place.

My best friend who is also my brother in law is going to be the navigator.  It is going to be his beautiful black truck that we'll be driving in this season.  We met in high school through my younger brother.  They were actually best friends in high school and after they graduated they each did their own thing.  Well my wife and her sister are very close so naturally Jay and I got to see each other quite a bit.  We usually hung out every weekend at a bar with the wives dancing and shooting pool.  It was then we realized we had something in common.  We love to play pool.  I started looking up organizations that supported pool leagues and I immediately signed us up.  Within a year we formed our team we won all city tournaments and regional tournaments and had a chance to go to Las Vegas to compete for $25k.  Unfortunately my partner, Jay, had the shot riding on his shoulders.  It came down to one ball and Jay was shooting at the 8 ball.  He made the 8Ball but then scratched the cue ball and so the team that beat us advanced to Vegas.  We moved on and started playing golf.  Where we are members of the Golf Channels Amateur Tour and Golf Galaxy Tour.  We are constantly trying to improve our game.  Like any other sport that we have played we have always excelled.  Jay and I have won a few trophies in our short lifetime but winning the Bullrun competition is going to "Trump" everything else. 

Our mission statement is simple: Look ahead to what we are coming up to and never look back to what we left behind.

Our team is going to have such great success.  Jay is going to be navigating for us and his map reading skills are going to be critical in this competition.  I know that he'll do great; I'll have all the trust and faith in what directions he's giving me.  Even as we drive around in our very own town he is always giving me directions on where to go and what streets to take to get us faster to the place we are wanting to go.  As far as my driving skills I believe that they will be put to good use.  Now if this was a competition on golf carts Jay would be the first to say "I'll drive" because of my accidents in golf carts but its not so we're in safe hands.

My biggest strength is HEART, something untangible; I believe every true winner has something inside that can not be seen or touched by anyone else.  It is the inner drive, the desire, and the unwillingness to lose.
