Second show this Second Season of Bullrun. What can I say about Speed TV's Bullrun "One Hellava ride" so far? A lot. Let me start with what a first time viewer said to me. "Do they really do "THAT" to those cars?" Why, Yes Debbie they do and its only going to get more insane as it rolls toward the finish line!


     When the teams first left L.A. there seemed to be a little grab ass going on and the reality of the Bullrun had really yet to sink into some of the teams. That changed in this leg. Porsche had gone home and the other teams start to understand that if you !@#$ up your really gone.


     Teams started to build some loose friendships to help give them some advantage in the second leg of the race and beyond. They started  the second leg from a Vegas wedding chapel that Matt (Team Avalanche) and Russian KGB agent (Yelena Krupen) think that a quick knot tying party would be fun... Well Marcus Michaelson who is a undocumented worker and driver of Team Ferrari objected and pull her away from a life of pleasure with Matt.  I do think that it was a little staged. Matt would have never let a girl get away. If he ever could catch one without Bear's help that is. Still it did add a nice fun side story to the race.


     The new viewers might not understand that in the Official Bullrun's they always have several mini stories going on to add flavor to the overall event. You see being a part of a Bullrun is of course about the race. But it is also about like minded car people having a good time together and that can get a little wild. I think that is what the Producers were trying to do with this "story line". I liked it and it made some fans laugh and confused others. It seemed to work out O.K. 


     Now that they left the Sack-up-Shack the were headed up to Lake Powel. Most of the teams did a great job of reading a map. But of course there was a couple that had some trouble. This just made my mouth drop! I couldn't believe that a couple of the teams were turning out of the pack.  Was this action a result of a party that some teams took to much pleasure in the night before? Team Strange and Team Pantera had made some poor choices as to the direction they were headed and they were going to pay for it  the next morning.


     A couple of  Lexus Ladies were all game and they didn't like that a couple of the teams didn't like to communicate very well. I would have to guess at this point in the race felt like they were being treated like a joke or eye candy. The first girl team to run this race were a road hazard. Team Lexus had something to prove to everyone and get the respect of the other teams. They wanted to rub a heel in the pigs that treated them as if didn't belong in a Bullrun race. They are about ready to take that prize from right under the boys noses. This team of two sexy widow makers are gunning for the weak. (Watch out Tony! no lovin here.) WARNING: Every guy knows that you should beware a women's scorn. Team Lexus took the lead foot award in the second leg never to let it up. Finishing in a very respectable manner and had the fate of one team in their hands or under the heels. You could say.


    As the other cars finished one team decided to invite the Flag girls all together for a group hug. Ya, it was Tony again from Team Dart. I knew he was an opportunist and I will now add pimp to his list of personality traits. We all found out that our other Lady killers (Team Strange) was pulling in second to last and the incredible Team Pantera was limping to the finish. It seems that in attempt to make up a little time they damaged the clutch.


     This in my favorate part of this Episode. I don't want to take anything away from the Lexus teams run as good and well fought as it was. But every team knew that this was game ending  damage for the Pantera. It is a Supercar and parts being almost impossible to get.Then add in filming in the dead of winter at a Lake Powel boat dock. IMPOSSIBLE!

     Impossible for most, but not this group. They live this !@#$ and that is why they made the show! You see these are car people they build, race and break things everyday back home. So, if any group of people could fix-it it was going to be these Teams. Still it was going to be a long shot! They got down to work and working through the night removed a V8 motor and transmission without a lift and only a couple of car jacks. Found the problem and with a Frankenstien fix began to rebuilt the car.  I was on the Speed chat line with Team TPI's Driver (Brook) when told us that there was to much help and it slowed down the repair some. I can only imagine the sportsmanship being given to Team Pantera that night. I for one was so truly sad for them. They wanted to be apart of Bullrun for so long and to go home like that. It wasn't right.  Then to see Brook grinding and all the other teams offering tools and hands to make sure that a fellow team could make the challenge in the morning. I can't tell you just how great that was. I know that Pantera will always remember the effort made on their behalf. I know I would be and forever grateful to them for all that effort if it had been me and my team stranded like that. All the teams that helped them that night are winners.


     Now Team Strange knew that they had to help Team Pantera. They really didn't want to win the Leg this way and wanted a stand-up fight. That left one team yet to be punted into the elimination round. Team Lexus had decided just who would run it and the Dickvaders (Team Evo) are going to have to put up those nuts they been bragging about. I quess they  wanted to see just how big this teams walnuts were after all of the first leg bragging. Evo didn't like it one bit. I can bet that they sucked them up a little after that slap down. (Way to go Girls!) 


     It was close as Team Evo drove the jet ski better than Team Strange's Steve and Team Pantera's Nick. But it was the poor driving that put one team on the road home. You see Pantera's luck just didn't hold. They had to ass into a parking spot and that isn't a thing a Pantera does very well. It slowed them down to a crawl. This allowed Elvis to just slip the noose and continue on by a couple of seconds quicker than Team Pantera. Team Strange's nation of fans could breath again and my wife could sit back down and watch the rest of the show in peace. 


     Now something huge happened just before the lap times of the three teams was announced and it was going to blow sky high! Bill had heard that one teams just didn't like the way EVO played the game. So Bill being a huge stir-stick asked Bill from Team VW to spill it. Bill didn't hold back and the !@#$ hit the fan! Oh! Team EVO didn't like being tossed under Bills Bus. That was the second time this leg that a team had left makes on them and they weren't going to take it laying down. Remember they were placed on that spot by Amanda & Brooke (Team Lexus). This has lit a fire under these two actors that continued well after Team Pantera had gone home. So we all are just going to have to stay tuned for round 2! and Watch episode 3 next Thursday.
