Wanted to submit for the show a few years back but a family emergency forced me to shy away. Now that all the dust has settled my awesome wife got tired of hearing me say,” I would kill to do something like that” she called my bluff and said well then go for it.
In short. A group of friends and I have been modding Lightnings for years now and with our Daily trucks builds finished we want them we have tackled a new project!!.

March 12, 2010 We go live with what we are up to!! Start planning
Cut and remove all wiring, Gut the interior, Custom fuel system is mocked up!!
March 21, 2010 Remove all the suspension Add leafs and rear shocks
March 22,2010 Got kicked out of our shop and had to be out by the first
April 1, 2010. In new shop
April 3, 2010 Modding front bumper bracket
April 8 Had a BBQ to show off our crazy build . Someone got a little footage of Josh ( Typhoon43) my navigator
Rest of the month spent getting set up in the new shop
May 4, 2010 Stock Long block goes in
Interior is back in and seat belts are not ready to go
May 10, 2010 Tranny, is back in the truck!!
May 10 2010 started the install of Hellwig Sway bars for the corners
May 10 2010Got out SVT performance decal on the rear wing
May 15 2010 Another chunk of our video got filmed!!!
May 16 2010 Finish fuel system up to the engine bay
May 19 Finished the Intro to our audition tape!!!! Only need 4 more minutes. Yea its harder than we expected but starting to have a lot of fun with this part
May 20 2010 Got out T shirt designs done and sent to the printer!!!!!!
May 21 2010 The headers got installed!!!!!!
May 21 2010 Set up rails and injectors
May 21 2010 Went to bigger and updated punch list!!!
May 26 2010 Rebuilt the supercharger
May 28 2010 Installed everything from the lower intake to the filter!!!!!
May 28 2010 Finish 90% of the custom fuel system
May 28 2010 mocked up the IC cooler
May 28 2010 Added the Magnum powers Decals
May 30 2010 Josh shaves head to get in the spirt and now has a crooked Mohawk
May 30 2010 got a ton of suspension work done and wheels back on as well as the driveshaft

June 3 Finished a bunch of T shirts to wrench in so we don't look like bums
June 4 Finished remote tranny cooler and filter
Mocked up Heat exchanger and pump
June 8
Finished the oil relocation, changed out the injectors, Upgraded the intercooler lines. Added new sensors
New radiator hoses, Finished the fuel system, Got the steering almost back together, Mocked up the Rad and Efan
June 17 Added front springs and Battery tray to rear of the truck and she lives. Start up video
June 23
Almost done with the interior, Flip down tag and tag is mounted so she is legal
July 1 2010 Finished the fuel system gain and redid all the lines hopefully for the last time
July 2 2010 She left the shop under her own power

Now its down to killing gremlins and upgrading what we have in place
All we need to do now is a little more wiring
Change out the Eaton Super charger for a Magnum powers
Change the throttle Body
Align her
Tune her
She is ready to rock and roll and so are we

Well after a month of having her back on the road and waiting for news on Season 4 we decided to make her bomb proof!!!!!!!!

I'd love to see a built lightning/SRT/sport truck in S4. That'd be pretty kick ass
sik lightning there is hardly any around where i live like maybe 1 or 2 ...... and there not as nice as that one... good job props but as cool as it would be to see lighting in bullrun if a challenge came up like with dirt and rough i dont think id do so well....

I am about as country as it gets when it come to driving. Grew up ( well never really grew up) sliding around dirt roads so we may be able to make it work.
We are redoing the whole suspension with the challenges in mind.

hell yea man.... I got a 01 SVT.. never had a prob with her, and they are so fast even stock. The show needs a pick up. good luck
I just realized how dangerous it was for me to be sitting on that can of VP109 after having the all-you-can eat ribs at Sonny's. It could have been disasterous. This is a sign that I was meant to be alive to navigate. I'll bring the voodoo chicken-bone gauntlet of protection next time we wrench, just for insurance.

The truck has a ton of history in the Lightning World!!! When everyone found out we were gutting it to build back up for Bullrun they got very excited!!!.
We are going to document the whole build.
This is already been a lot of fun. EVen though geting on Bullrun would be like the lottery the idea is still very exciting.

We must be a little off. Making very heavy fast shows we are just not right.
My Naviagtor was very active int he Typhoon world. He even still uses that screen name. He had a green one back in the day.
