"There were no cops, no trees, no humans of any kind so we decided to wring out the little Ford. For 47 minutes straight the Fusion was pinned at 111 mph with the A/C on getting 25mpg. John, Gabe and I all sat there astonished. We made one fuel stop, saw no other Bullrunners and came in... are you ready... 6th place for the day! IN A RENTED FORD FUSION!! CAN I GET A BOOYA!!!
Ford people, if you are reading this contact me immediately because I don't think you know how good this little car is. Seriously, we should talk about perhaps producing some Ford Fusion "MR. ANGRY" editions. I LOVE THIS CAR!"
wow, way to technical for me. I bolt it on and go. I will say that my little 3.7 inline 5 H3 started out w/ more hp than a stock 67 mustang w/ a 289 in it, though it is more heavy. So just that 235 horsepower shows that tech has come a long way in making smaller engines perform better w/ better mpg. I really lost what you guys are fighting about after the first couple of posts.
As much as I love old-school musclecars, technology has come so far in the last 30 years, it's amazing. You really wouldn't want to drive an all-original 60's big-block car cross country (4 wheel drums and bias-ply tires = fail). That's why I love resto-rods (pro-touring) because you get the best of both worlds...
Then your going to love my ride at this years Bullrun, fuel injected 415CID Nascar spec racing engine, air ride suspension, 13inch disc wilwood brakes, 480LE tranny (from 2009 vet) 18 , 8 front wheels, 8, 10 back wheel. etc etc total g machine.

Well techniacally since NASCAR is limited to 358cu in, you can't have a full NASCAR spec engine lol. But yeah, sweet set up!
