Of the cars you mention, the Corvette, Ferrari, & Cobra are track cars (but only the last two generations of Corvette). The EVO & Impreza are rally cars, not track cars, but the most developed of them are circuit cars, not made for long distances. the 3000GT is a GT car, and the IS 300 is an entry level luxury vehicle.
Of the bunch you mention, only the Impreza and EVO are competitive in long distance rallies & targas. But the Mini has generally beaten all of them.
Several Mustangs have come close, but what has hampered the Mustangs are weight, specifically front engine weight and gas consumption.

The ONLY mustangs that were TRULY built for the strip were the Cobra Jets & Boss 429s.
The Fox cars were actually built as Volkswagen Fox fighters and was a multipurpose chassis with rallying in mind (which is why they have so much suspension travel).

Again, you still haven't looked at the design considerations. Even with a used car you would have to replace everything, and then you have the added worries about repairing abuse.

Of the cars you mention, the Corvette, Ferrari, & Cobra are track cars (but only the last two generations of Corvette). The EVO & Impreza are rally cars, not track cars, but the most developed of them are circuit cars, not made for long distances. the 3000GT is a GT car, and the IS 300 is an entry level luxury vehicle.
Of the bunch you mention, only the Impreza and EVO are competitive in long distance rallies & targas. But the Mini has generally beaten all of them.
Several Mustangs have come close, but what has hampered the Mustangs are weight, specifically front engine weight and gas consumption.
