Thank you very much

First things first..... Get some driving experience then worry about racing. You'll die if you try to compete with Bullrunners.
I suggest getting comfortable and doing some research. When you are ready to run in the Bullrun you will already know the answers to all of these questions.
Other than that... Welcome aboard!
Sorry to burst your bubble, you gotta be 21.

Are you kidding me? That WAS nice. Don't make me sick the cotoye on him!
I just meant time behind the wheel. All of the participants have been driving for at least a FEW years anyway lol.
To "compete" in the Bullrun, and just "run" the bullrun are two different things.....
I dropped him a lil note in his guestbook.

Hey! What do you mean by that!!
My best experiences were behind handlebars, in any case!

"There were no cops, no trees, no humans of any kind so we decided to wring out the little Ford. For 47 minutes straight the Fusion was pinned at 111 mph with the A/C on getting 25mpg. John, Gabe and I all sat there astonished. We made one fuel stop, saw no other Bullrunners and came in... are you ready... 6th place for the day! IN A RENTED FORD FUSION!! CAN I GET A BOOYA!!!
Ford people, if you are reading this contact me immediately because I don't think you know how good this little car is. Seriously, we should talk about perhaps producing some Ford Fusion "MR. ANGRY" editions. I LOVE THIS CAR!"

I wouldnt recommend anything like this to a 'novice' driver. I only say that out of concern for yours, other drivers/ crew and my own safety. What is your 'experience'?
I instructed at a road race event in fall and one of my students had an R8 w/ paddle shift- that is a very serious car. I'll tell you that that's too much car for a novice driver.

I am The Stig
I would recomend comming early, and taking the teenage defensive driving course at Bondaurant School of Performance Driving here in Phoenix. That would go a long way towards preparing you for the experience in my book.

I won't crush a dream. I was young once too. Me and alot of my friends were 10 ft tall and bullet-proof when we were young. Only three of my friends are in wheelchairs and one dead. It doesn't matter to me what you drive. The fact is that learning to drive at speed is something you develop with experience. Your brain has to process alot of information really quickly and your body has to react accordingly. This only comes with experience. The performance driving schools are AWESOME! I went to one through the SCCA when I was 20 years old and it was the best thing I ever did to improve my driving skills. Between age 16 and 20 I wrecked 3 cars and got really lucky.

Bullrun is $20,000 plus overhead expenses like tickets, hotel room upgrading, gas money, equipment costs. You're looking at roughly $30,000 US dollars to participate in the Bullrun. You need to be of legal drinking age because Bullrun is not just driving, but partying and that leads to drinking. Yes, without insurance, you can not participate. Even if you try, the first time you're pulled over you're license will be suspended and your car will be impounded. You need Insurance! There will be a Bullrun 2010!
I wish I could participate in Bullrun, It'll be a while before that happens though... First I have to graduate from University! ..and get a lot of money! We can all dream though!
