I see German, Italian, Italian, German, Japanese and Japanese... That's 50% imports.

reading that, hurt my head.  The imports have been in both season 1 and 2.

They don't put in the decent imports because they're afraid the mullet-heads will get pissed when they see them win the whole thing.

The first season had plenty of Japanese cars, There was the Honda, the drifter and the Scion.

well i suppose i appreciate all cars but when you put a park becnh on your trunk lid and pipe every car on the road then you are a idiot that doesnt deserve my respect. you know the guys im talking about boy rolls up at a light turns his jimmy eat world cd up way to hi then revs hi 1986 tercel and nods his head cause he thnks he can take your blown 572 vette with a blower bulging out of the hood, but he damn sure wouldnt put money on it

i think that's the reason why ricers catch a bad rap. they buy a beat up 200K+ mile 87 crx that already blowing smoke, through a fart can on it, slap on what is supposed to resemble a body kit and some wheels and they think they have a race car. they roll the highways at 70+ in third gear piping random people then hide from the real car enthusiasts and tuners. real japanese car tuners won't hesitate to drop some serious cash on an already good platform to make better and their own and the ricers make them look bad.

its all in the presentaion also dsm has good chance but look at what hes presenting and how hes doing it its a nice car nice presentation he knows whats good on the car and what isnt the best thing he will make better. you have got to go that extra mile and want to do this like he does or as few others will do. most of those crowds arent into this they want chrome loud exhaust on other whys stock cars. when you start off with a 17sec car and want to make this show you have to proove a point in craftsmanship durability and packaging. be different anyone can through a system in a car and a coldair induction on it be bold go for the gold. build it up break it find the weak spots make it fast, make it light, and make it right, do what most of the others are not imports do make it but chromed out cars with no background(i.e. dyno sheets,skid pad number,scca times,etc) will not. you need to be competitive on many levels that most stock cars cant be. anyone can make it but you REALLY have to want it and then proove it, as i have read nobody is a lock but you do have to show something special to do this...but thats my opinion and it normaly has no value             lol

I'm sure the producers are looking for something "special" to give the show that extra something... that doesn't always mean the fastest cars, otherwise I wouldn't even have a shot.

I agree with the posers who ruin the hobby... I ran across a Mustang owner the other day who was the same way. Had STEEDA stickers all over his car, loud exhaust, but when I mentioned bringing it to the track, he got all defensive and irritated... I've got timeslips in my glovebox, I know how fast my car is.

The difference is those people only want to look fast, we want to BE fast.

Tell me about it! To make matters worse, you should see the looks I get when they try to fit my car into one of their "categories"... I usually get stuck w/ "Sport Compact".... :P

hey corrollas are a good platform if u get the rearwheel drive one they are fun to drive easy to tune and there so many engines u can swap into them with no problems

A GTR would be cool.  Almost any Nissan/Datsun would be cool.  Just no rice!

how bout a vr-4 3kgt or dodge stealth

Personally i'd like to see a tiburon have at it. People have made some mean tiburons. Look up streetfire/youtube and you'll find several pushing 400+whp.

It certainly couldnt do worse then a honda miata(had to say it, hate those cars)

but back on topic, i cant stand people that rice there car out, it puts everyone that drives an import down, until of course those people buy a turbo muhuhahaha.  but i have seen some mean ass hondas. down here 1 of the fastest car is a old honda hatchback. packin over 800hp. he'll spin those tires through 3rd. 

with 800hp, he should be able to spin them through 5th!

There're probably as many "Ricer" poser/squiddies out there who do dumb !@#$ like put a "GT-R" badge on a Cavalier with a RK Sport "RamAir hood that goes nowhere as there are true Import posers, but It's not really the cars, it's the idiot drivers who are to blame, regardless of what they drive. 

The only reason you see more idiots in 87 Tercels w/ fart cans than you see 87 Escorts is because the Escorts have already been scrapped and the Tercels are still (unfortunately) on the road, cheap to buy, and cheap to maintain (bling Wal-Mart spinners not included).

when to be honest you can make almost anything fast just have to have the money to drop in it how many american guys drop a big block in a lite jap car and call it a day when it runs a 10 on the 1/4

It's pretty cool here, I expected everyone to just bash on every import but it seems everyone has taste in some respectable cars.. I personally would love to see a 300zx TT or a Skyline R33 Maybe even like a Sylvia 240 or something

This would be a lot of fun to watch in the challenges, and to see how they deal with the convertible noise for the in-car filming...
