I am thinking about adding a throttle body spacer. Manufacturers claim to add up to 22hp and torque. I was curious if any of you fellow Bullrunners have added one of these to your vehicle and did it do any good? I wanna hear good and bad. So help me out?
They are good for the dodge dakota's durangos and such with the V8 but if you have a FIPK kit from K&N it wont fit after a spacer is added.. just FYI

I've seen a slight gain on engine dynos. But generally find the claims to be a little on the extravagant side. They may help slightly with air distribution but that's a luck of the draw type of thing. I tend to stick to cold air kits. Spacers work better in carbureted applications as they tend to help with fuel distribution problems... But it's still just a crutch fix.

Yea i was curious because i see some of them boasting 17-24hp. My cold air kit is on of extruded aluminum tubing and a conical k&n filter. Does the spacer not go between the TBI and the intake?
no it does but it raises the throttle body up and the round air cleaner attachment hits the hood

It's cool just for the noise ;-)
Sometimes they make a bit more power, sometimes they lose a lil power.... just depends.
