I love the marauder  look, and style. If you do the orange with black add a silver accent stripe between, go to www.americanmuscle.com for power adders and wheels.. the black 17" bullet's would look sick with that paint scheme, best bet use photochop and play around with colors.

Personally I'm into the copper-orange or silvers. The Marauder look was one of the best they came up with (for Ford cop cars). SUPERCHARGE that BEEEAAACH! Mod motors love to be pressurized! Just keep boost down to 5 lbs for a stocker.

That reminds me...I should put the heads back on the Super Coupe soon.

Cool. Wasn't sure where the threshold was. I'm a little conservative on my tune-ups just cause I'm getting older and am starting to appreciate trouble free operation. Lifted the heads off the Super Coupe at 23 psi while working up the computer on the chassis dyno. That sounded really cool!

Yah, I wanted to make it as close to a muscle car as I can, cause if ya think about it, its the last true muscle car.  Full frame, V8, and rear wheel drive.  That's why i want a loud color like orange, and muscle car style rims.  I want the marauder parts because they include fog lights, and make it look really agressive.

the mauraders were kick ass

DUDE No Metal flake Orange/black combo.   Maybe go with a Matte black Hood treatment like the 70 Boss or Torino Cobra. How about Grabber Blue, or a Competition Orange.

LOL muscle does not a 215-30hp  make. Niether muscle or pony cars were fully framed either. Maybe you should check out Crownvic.net. I mean I want to get my hands on a P-71, I love Panthers but it'll never be a Mustang. It just has a 281 v8, and if you want extremem orange nobody does paint better than Mopar. Good luck with your car, I hope to get one and fix it up myself.
 

I like the black with orange pearl. I really am a fan of the sunset orange, but (and I am sorry!) that might end up being a whole lotta orange. Might look kinda neat with that gradient shading on the windows too - that coloured tint they put on the windows. Jack the back end a little put racing slicks under her.

That was my exact concern rgind, was the Halloween look.  Has been from square one.  I really like the Boss stripes though.  I love orange, but I really think it has to be a Mopar to pull it off, and not look like October 31st.  I've been tossing other colors around, like Petty corp blue, Viper Red with gold iridescent (see Jeep Lower Forty concept,) and even good ole Black, with grey striping.  (If I did the black, it would be a blacked out car.)

I'm aware of the horsepower "issues," or lack there of.  I was plannin on taking care of that.  I'm hoping for 12s in the 1/4, but I think that'll take too much.  I'd be happy with 14s...  Even that's a 3 second improvement over where I'm at now.

Sorry but muscle is what you make of what you have. As for neither muscle or pony cars ever being fully framed? Let's start with one of the original bad boys, the 409 Impala. Lets not forget every Chevelle (SS), Olds Cutlass (442), Buick Skylark (GS, GN, GNX), Ford Galaxie, Torino etc. The Unibodies were the pony cars and all Mopars. Nowadays, A rear drive anything is a treat.

PS.   Reb. Creative use of blackouts or stripes is always fun and (mostly) cool. Make it yours.

I honestly can't tell you how many times I've gone through the old paint cabinet and just started mixing until I came up with something 'cool'. I actually came up with an olive green that had a metallic gold tint (imagine that) that looked really neat on an old Dodge P/U beater that I had. Other ones were a teal with silver and a really strange rootbeer brown that tinted to black in certain light. Very odd and completely forget about color matching.

Ok, so now that I DID decides to keep it.  I've been looking at Cams.  Comp seems to offer a good deal on everything I'd need.  Just not sure which duration & such to go with because I'm not too familiar with these motors.  Again, it may be supercharged one day.  I also just ordered some accel spark plugs, and will order accel coils here soon.  (Startin off slow.  lol)  After that, I found a cold air intake kit I like, and a programmer.  Exhaust is gonna be custom made by a local shop.  Most of this will probably start to happen after X-mas.

Rob, Rgrind, any thoughts, things I should get in addition?

I also decided to go with the Lowerforty Viper red with gold iridecent, with black BOSS mustang stripes.  Which leaves me thinking about making the wheels chrome....

I would say just stick to the basics until you decide to supercharge it. The blower specific cams will not work so well without the 'charger so, in my humble opinion, don't crack her open until you are ready for the supercharger. The engines respond well to the basic mods anyways. I doubt you will be disappointed with the air intake/ exhaust combo. Even if it's not really that much faster, it will sure freakin sound like it's going alot faster! Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

Picturing the color combo in my head... ( you should feel special cause there's not alot of extra room in there) I'm thinkin' you will have one SWEEEEET lookin' ride! The Gold should set off everything real niccce.

That's what I'll do then.  I pulled a couple plugs today, and looked at em.  They're a bit fried, so just the plugs and coils might net me some extra power since the coils are factory, and it looks like it's been awhile for the plugs.

Yeah, I'm doin single chamber flowmasters, so it should sound pretty racey.  Louder than the one in the vid I posted.
