How much NOS will I need

I have a 2002 neon that I have had forever, I use it to zip around and have had id since new. I cant get rid of it untill it dies, but no such luck. I havn't changed the oil, tires brakes and get 14" of air over some tracks around my house on a regular bases. I want to take it to my local track and dump a bunch of NOS on it and try to get a 10 sec. pass. I need help with this...
1 How big of a shot should I use?
2 How many passes wil I get out of it ?
3 What do you think my best time will be ?
4 does anybody want to buy a Neon with NOS on it??? after im done first.

1 How big of a shot should I use? At least a 200 shot, make sure you use 110 octane minimum
2 How many passes wil I get out of it ? No idea, you say it's bulletproof... but that's because it's a Dodge of course. I would bring nitrous jets with you and keep uping the dosage until you get your quickest time.... or it gives.
3 What do you think my best time will be ? 12.0.... just because of the tires and suspension..... figuring it holds
4 does anybody want to buy a Neon with NOS on it??? As much as I love Dodge... hell no

200-250 wet shot will most likely work for a few passes. 200-300 dry shot is your best bet if you want to blow that shiat up.

I know some guys that have gutted Neons with the basic colt ons that are getting 12's. I doubt you'll be able to run a 200 shot without blowing it, but it would be fun to try. Like Coyote said, get it on youtube!!! :D

If it doesn't blow on the 250, drop in a 300 jet.
Your time probably won't get any better, in fact it'll probably get worse as you do the one wheel peel. FWD cars are bad on the drag strip. Very hard to get them to stick for the launch(without a whole heck of a lot of suspension work). You could go ahead ang gut the thing. Take out every item that isn't engine related. You MIGHT see a low 12. Chances are mid to high 12's.
Bring a bucket and a camera. Bucket to carry all the parts the oil pan doesn't hold. Camera to prove you did it.
oh and will you pay Shipping to AZ? If so, I offer $.05... if you take paypal. LOL

I've seen the Silva Brothers in Cali get an old Saturn into the low 12's by gutting it and putting a 100 shot on the stock motor. It's doable.... but not practical.

A decent ported and street cammed 4.2L (stroked 3.8L) produces around 280 rwhp. A conservative tune with a 12 psi intercooled P-1SC will produce roughly 490 hp with that combination I'll be dialing it back quite a bit in the interests of longevity / durability.

yeah, entire books have been written about the battles between teh accountants and engineers back then. The Accountants always won, which almost killed the 3.5L v6 engine when the crank didn't clear the block, and the accountants wouldn't allow any more money to fix it!!
I laughed at Mopar for most of the late 80s till the 90s . . . after the bailout, the accountants got awful full of themselves . ..
But the the AWD stuff they were coming out with was pretty awesome when combined with Lambo. Chrysler back then was basically AMC+Lamborghini with K-cars in between . ..
But then they farmed out all the technology to just about every continent - Mitsu & their feeders like Hyundai/Kia, VW (Lambo, Bugatti, Audi), Fiat (via Maserati), Renault (via AMC) et al . ..

Here's the Daytona AWD concept that became the DSM cars (It even looks like a Stealth/3000GT) while the Dodge Lancer/CSX became the Mitsubishi Lancer (which became the EVO)

Chrysler engineering had it goin' on back in the day!
They bought up AMC just after they won the Nurburgring, and all kinds of rallys with the Spirit AMX and the SX4. And they also bought Lamborghini, plus they had Shelby to put it all together!
Some of the stuff they came up with was AMAZING! - But the accountants ruled the day . . . That's part of the reason Mercedes bought them up (Look at MB's stuff - the design looks like Chryslers nowadays - not like stodgy old Mercedes stuff before the "Merger.")
Lucky for Ford and GM, they never had the cash to implement a bunch of the stuff they came up with .. .
If I ever have a couple of days to devote to the research, I'll find the AMX/SX4 stuff .. .It's always very hard to find .. .

At first, the codpiece was entirely a practical matter of modesty. In the 14th century, men's hose were two separate legs worn over linen drawers, leaving a man's genitals covered only by a layer of linen. As the century wore on and men's hemlines rose, the hose became longer and joined at the centre back but remained open at the centre front. The shortening of the cote or doublet resulted in under-disguised genitals, so the codpiece began life as a triangular piece of fabric covering the gap.
As time passed, codpieces eventually became so padded as to emphasize rather than to conceal, reaching an extreme of size and decoration in the 1540s before falling out of use by the 1590s.
Armor of the 16th century followed civilian fashion, and for a time armored codpieces were a prominent addition to the best full harnesses. A few of these are on display in museums today: the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City has one, as does the Higgins Armory in Worcester, Massachusetts[1][2]; the armour of Henry VIII in the Tower of London has a codpiece.

Richard Ehrenberg and the crafty buggers over at Mopar Action Mag nitroused a new rental Neon a bunch of years back and lifted the head off with a 250 shot and got the car into the 11's I believe. I say just run the hose from the bottle into the intake and 'Let Er Buck'!!!

If the car doesn't function as a real car, it's a Codpeice. If, for example, the side exhausts burn your legs, or the cabin is uncontrollably hot, or there isn't enough space for a weekend for two to vacation, or the durability and/or reliability is soooo suspect you wouldn't want to use it as a daily driver, it's a codpiece. The only way to overcome it's being a codpiece is to build it so that it is. So most Panteras are generally not considered codpieces.
ANY car that HAS performance but cannot be utilized by the driver is a codpiece. So, for example, there are MANY Mustangs that ARE codpieces because the owner doesn't know anything about what he is driving, but sees it as a way to pick up women who will drop them the moment a Viper driver comes along, who will also drop the Viper driver the moment a Ferrari sidles up.
Anyone who spends $1,000,000 on a HEMI Cuda, but only drives the thing to a pick up, has just bought a codpiece. If he spends $600, and builds a hemi, and actually drives the car, it's not.
In general, any car that's useful is NOT a codpiece. Any "summer drive-in or club" car, is.
If your winter car is a Neon, it's a codpiece. If your winter car is an AWD Bentley Continental GT, it's a different story.

A winter car is something you drive in 6" or more snow, as for a daily driver most of the time that is what it is. I dont need a car to pick up the chicks, I use my good lookes and charm and money....wait maybe I do need it haha.
I think a codpiece is different to each person, to me it is a person with a sock jammed in there pants, not a car.
