I know, it's a little weird to have a thread about Bullrun here..
But, anyone want to take a guess a the new rules thrown to the contestants of season 3?
I'm betting most of them can't talk about any changes to rules or format.. But I think it would be a little interesting to find out what they kept and what they got rid of.
I remember Andy talking about limiting extra fuel tanks for this year. Do you think that rule was enforced? Where the contestants given enough time to remove any additional fuel tanks or cells before they had to get their cars to the starting line? Or, did they keep those rules the same again this year..
How about tools and supplies? Andy also seemed to mention that they may limit the amount of spare parts and tires that each team could carry. That would sure make it interesting.. Especially since it appears as though one of the challenges this year was a burn-out competition (my opinion based on Goldberg's Twitter page and the picture of Andy doing a burnout behind him). What would you do in that situation? Do you melt your good tires to the ground, only to be worried about them for the rest of the trip? Do you swap your spares on, and run the rest of the trip without a good spare set? Would they even allow that? All very interesting for sure...
How about format? I liked the season 2 format, but there just wasn't enough emphasis put on the daily legs.. I mean, it was important for the FIRST person to get to the checkpoint, but after that... Didn't really seem to matter. Think we will see any changes there?
I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting pretty damn excited for Season 3. It sounds like they had a bigger budget this year, and we might see new things that have never been done before. What other changes do you predict? Just bigger explosions with more helicopter footage? Or an all new format with all new rules? Lets hear it!

I would love to speculate...
but I have knowledge intimate knowledge and I keep tripping over elephants and llamas so you have at it...
I'll sit back and watch

I wish they would exclude all super cars....
But how else would we spank them? LOL. Nothing better than pwning a supercar with a cheap sportscar and lots of driving skill...
And where else would we get the Russian strippers?
I heard they were going to have a "no gasoline" rule, and all the challenges were truck pulls.

no no. You have to bob and weave through elephant legs, plow through a field of llamas, and drift through a pig barn, then do a donut and back into a tiger cage.

speculation, speculation, speculation.............................I am sure that those in the know want to talk about it, hell I would if I was on the show, especially considering as how we have become a little bit of a disfunctional family (lol) HOWEVER, I for one can wait, and have faith that any changes that Andy made will just make the show, competition, and the drama better.

I think that they'll keep to the same format for the most part with the exception of a few minor rules such as having no fuel cells this time around, and only as many tools as you can carry in your car. I hope they bring back the time bonus to shake things up, but I can only hope.

I'm ready... how this season pans out will have a pretty big impact (I think) on Season 4. Chances are they're not going to make huge rule changes if this season gets good ratings... and if last season was an indicator, it will!
Who knows, I may wind up changing my ride before next season...

That is a good point about the format.. Why change a good thing, right?
I also agree that it should be a "run what you brung" show. If you can fit it in the car, bring it along. If you can't... Oh well, should have bought a truck. ;)
