the reason is he doesnt want everyone to just use the chatroom and then the forum would die out. but the failure in that logic is that normally there are only 5 people on at one time. even if there was a chat room there would be banter on the forum. but then again since elvis and frenchie are normally on at the same time the reading material might get boring
