You gotta watch the actual movie, it is frickin insane... made in '73 staring Sean Connery, looking like Burt Renyolds, wearing an orange dipar.  It is a hysterical classic... should do a Mystery Science Theater on it... watch with a group of people and plenty of alcohol

You sure MST3K hasn't done it already? Though actually since he's still alive they'd probably run into issues about rights.

I miss MST3K. I still have one of their pearls somewhere I havn't yet watched. Something about amazon women from the 70s.

omg ive so seen that movie. i used to stay up late and watch whatever was on tv and i remember that one. 

I thought I had seen alll the crappy movies ever made and E pulls this crapper out....Thanks god for netflix Yes it's in the Queue NOW.

 

Zardoz(1974) R

In this cult favorite from John Boorman (Beyond Rangoon), 23rd century society is split into two castes -- the overly civilized Eternals and the barely civilized Brutals -- one of which is constantly controlling the other. The Brutals worship a huge stone figure known as Zardoz. When Zed (Sean Connery) begins to question the authenticity of this god, the film is able to offer some pointed commentary on class structure and religion.

I have it dvr'd and I have only seen the 1st 20 min of it so far... although I have watched that 3 times already.  More than 20 min at a sitting seems too overstimulating.   There are so many elements to take in that are sooo bizzare and leave you going 'no... really... WTF' while laughing in astonishment. 

I can't wait to watch the rest, I will be savoring every scene.

Oh yeah and Tony, make sure you don't have any fluids in your mouth while watching, do the 'ole pause n sip, otherwise you may short circut your tv.

Yet another netflix movie I need to sit and watch.

Now I have to see this. Seriously. Sean connery in a red diaper, wedding dress, fondling a passive woman and talking about crippled old ladies getting raped in wet ditches (I guess the ditch makes it kinky?).

Dude he must have needed to pay rent that month or something. I guess this movie was a step up from walking the streets? Now I know where they got the pretty woman concept.

i would so fly out there to be in the sequal. imagine watching that, logans run, and all the other crazy movies of the time when you were 10 and 11. it gives a pretty interesting look on the future
