The Sierra Club and the U.S. Forest Service were presenting an alternative to Wyoming ranchers for controlling the coyote population.
It seems that after years of the ranchers using the tried and true methods of shooting and/or trapping the predators, the tree-huggers had a 'more humane' solution.
What they proposed was for the animals to be captured alive; the males would then be castrated and let loose again. Therefore the coyote population would be controlled in that manner. This was ACTUALLY proposed to the Wyoming Wool and Sheep Grower's Association by the Sierra Club and the USFS.
All of the ranchers thought about this amazing idea for a couple of minutes. Finally, one old boy in the back of the conference room stood up, stretched, tipped his hat back and said, 'Son, I don't think you rightly understand our problem. Those coyotes ain't screwing our sheep - they're eatin' 'em!'
So... Anyone have any good coyote jokes recently... Or SEEN a coyote recently... hint hint, nudge nudge.

But that goes to show you -do your recon work. Most of these guys talk about everything they buy, how much power they're making, etc., they more they talk, the more info you have on what you need to do to beat 'em. So engourage them to brag as much as possible, & keep your own combination quiet.
There were people who thought I was making 600hp+ some thought I had a Cleveland under the hood, or that I'd transferred my built 351M from my truck. The few people I showed my engine to couldn't believe it was a moderately modified 302 with a 600CFM Edelbrock carb.

I'm more curious to see what truck they picked for season 3 than anything else. I'm betting it was another stocker, but who knows.. It wouldn't make for good TV to have a modified diesel making 450+ hp and still have a 600 mile range beat up on everyone. :)
