i just hope all of us on here can bow our heads and pray for those who fought for and lost loved ones, family members, and friends on this day sept. 11th. That we should all be very thankful that we are still able to enjoy all the things we do even the most simple ones we take for granted.

Without our public servants (FIREFIGHTERS, POLICE, MILLITARY,ect.) we wouldn't be able to sit here at our computers and bs about what ever we feel like. zztoolman keep doing what you are doing!!!!

I still remember that day, and hoping when I heard about it that it wasn't gonna happen again. The news rocked Canada from coast to coast, and we still pay respects to all of the people who lost their lives that day, which would have been far more, if it weren't for the excellent emergency workers who gave their all to help those who were trapped.

It was a day that caught us all off guard! For me it was a very uncertian day of what would happen next, what would we do in return, listening to my mother cry because she was worried about what it meant for me and others in the Military. There was of course anger mixed in, wanting to do SOMETHING but being so far away.  I was getting ready for work when I turned on the TV to see the first tower burning then saw on live TV the second plane fly into the second tower. I still have that entire days worth of events recorded on a dvd. I watch it on rare occasion to remind me not to take things for granted.  I will never forget and now having said all of that I need to get my flagpole fixed! We must never forget!

i remember... i was in highschool. and it was all over the news and sirens were going off and i thought we were all gunna die cause they were saying to watch the sears tower... it could be next.and i remember sitting there shaking and crying and watching as people were jumping out and just dying because there was no hope for them left. and all the firefighters and policemen trying to find the bodies. i just remember being so scared. it was a day where there were people screaming and crying and panicing but it seemed like it was on mute as you stared into the distance and watch the tv or stared at the wall. i just felt so blank scared and alone for a long moment. thinking "what just happened? did this really just happen?"

wow, I have been so busy I didn't realize.  hard to believe it was 8 years ago..  seemed like yesterday.  I was on the flight line in guam... working on a C-141... and an inbound C-17...  we got the call from control on the radio... just after midnight, a plane hit the WTC.....  we all thought it was some little cessna or something... we went into the break room about 20 minutes later to see the 2nd plane hit the WTC... then the pentagon got hit.. it didn't dawn on us, but we all kinda looked at each other, and I said, damn it seems like we are under attack.... and little did we know we actually were.  All the aircraft was ordered to land world wide... and when the C17 landed, they didn't know what happened, and reported multiple radio malfunctions becuase no one would answer them.  We told them when we recovered the jet what happened.

We worked our asses off getting everything ready the rest of the night...  and after our shift, we just waited...  in disbelief.

4 days later..  all hell broke loose... and that is all I can say.

3 years to the day, I deployed to the desert..  in my 2nd tour over there..
