Do you have legal help? my team ran into some issues with an az court a couple of years back, but got it handled, luckily. some of the other teams weren't so lucky. its a shame that most authorities confuse rallying with racing.

Isn't Bear's mom like an attorney there or something?

I contacted Bear's mother but she is not in the right county, or too far away to handle it for me. I did however contact another attorney in Mobile Alabama, sent them some doe, and a signed agreement so they can handle it for me. It should go well, I hope !!!  Not going back to Alabama just for that crock of S_ _ T

If anyone wants to know the name of the firm / attriney, please PM me and I will get you in touch with them.

 Hey it is Travis with the blue EVO X and yes we have a mandatory court date as well Sept 22nd  but  I am hoping to use wiskeyrunner's attorney. Alabama really really didnt like us did they? It was unfortunate but the bright side is we didnt go to jail. ;-)

In Alabama the cops treat traffic offenses like criminal charges. I spoke to Bear about this in at length and another attorney. They really get that "robo cop attitude"  in a hurry.

It's too bad Bear's mother is out of the area of where this court is. She seemed like a super nice lady and knows what's going on.

Today's the big day for the 2009 Bullrunner's court date in Alabama. 

I got my deal worked out, hope the rest of you did. 

here's my deal: 

1. No traffic violations for 6 months. (it only matters if the voilation is in Alabama though) 

2. Pay court costs (maybe $200) 

3. Pay $50. for pre-trial intervention application fee to District Attys. office

4. Attorney's fee $1,000 (did he earn it ?, I made sure of it !! )

Basically I just added another $1,250 to the cost of participating in the rally this year. In light of what else I spent, that's not much.

My advice, Stay the !@#$ out of Alabama, cause they treat traffic violations like criminal offenses and It just is not worth it.

That sucks, but the fines dont seem too bad, last time i was in ND i got popped for 35 over on the freeway, written for 10 over, i think the ticket was like $17 LOL

Still $250 in fines for no points, I'll take it!

Man I am so Happy we truned off when we did lol, that sucks brother sorry to hear that.

It's all good!!  I know I probably deserved some of it. I sure did some stupid stunts during the rally. Just one of those who got caught!!! 

At least I did not spend time in jail like some others.......

They would have had to come and get me for the jail time if they wanted me.

I hope everyone else came out as well as you Brian.  I hope they aren't donning their orange jump suits right now.

I doubt anyone is doing time.  Except for Schwab, I could only hope.....
