BITE THE BULLILTT
Nyt_Muves's picture

A lot has happened in recent weeks.  The quick casting and all the excitment that went along with that.  The loss of my grandfather.  Thanksgiving.  And really only 3 months ago, a new beautiful edition to the Clarke household.  Started 3 months ago with the birth of Courtney Ann, 8lbs 7oz and 20" long.  Ended a week ago with the passing of my grandfather Dillard Pierce.  84 years old, war hero.

Kind of funny how life gives with one hand while taking away with the other.  I am kind of hoping for a couple of weeks (months hopefully) of repose.  I could do with a little less drama.

Well now it is time to prepare for the casting of season 3, decide on a few more mods.  In preperation for season 2, we went through some brake upgrades, suspension upgrades, a dyno tune and slight exhaust modification, replacing the 8" BULLITT wheels with 9" BULLITT wheels and Goodyear Eagle F1 AS rubber at 275 40 17.  The thing is as sure footed as a mountain goat.

Will post more later, but that is the crux of the last little while.  Hope this Christmas finds all of you and yours safe and happy and hope those in filming are making the most of a once in a lifetime experience.  OUR TURN NEXT!!

Nice to have your own garage..

Welcome! Glad you started your own blog...

It is the best way to let people really get to know ya... I didn't know that they had 9inich rims.. Was that an up grade or a aftermarket option. Adding those brake upgrades with those wider tires should really pull it down when needed?

No kidding

You can get "BULLITT" rims in 8 inch (stock), 9" and 10".  They look the same, just give a little better fit to a wider tire.  If I didn't say anything, most people could not tell the diff. I moved it up to 9s after the tire upgrade from 245s to 275s as I didn't like how much the side of the tire was rolling.  Just too much for the 8" stock rims.  That wider tire really improved the car in the corners.  A bit heavier feel to the wheel, but really helped witht the grip.  It also helped a TON in straight line acceleration to make it hook up.  I was really surprised how much.

The BAER RACING decelerotors and the steel braid brake lines reallly firmed up the pedal a lot.

I don't have my own garage though.  Just found a good one locally.  The boys at Performance Solutions did a DYNAMITE job.
