It’s time to introduce Team 38 Caliber. We have been on the forums for a few months and have enjoyed watching Bullrun rallies on TV, video and in person. We were fortunate enough to have participated in the 2009 rally as Superfans. Meeting the teams in NYC and cruising with them as well as other Superfans has been a highlight of our year. We made it to Staunton, Virginia prior to their arrival so that we could watch as they were greeted like rock stars by fans lining the streets. Being a military family, we have travelled around the United States but I can tell you that there’s not much better than being able to drive with a great group of people in some of the most beautiful cars ever made while visiting new places along the way. We have met and made a few new friends already and believe that there are many more friendships to be formed around our common interest – Bullrun. Let the Rally begin!
Driver: Jeff Rushing, 40, has been a member of the United States Navy for 21 years as an aircraft mechanic on the F/A-18 Hornets and is currently a Chief Petty Officer based in Virginia Beach, VA. If he’s not drag racing, modifying the cars or surfing Bullrun you might find him at car shows, fishing or camping. He does all of the upgrades to our Mustangs as well as regular maintenance as required. Being a mechanic prior to enlisting in the Navy will give him an advantage above those who have their work done for them.
Co-Driver: Gail Rushing, 39, currently works for an insurance company in the Cost Containment Unit as a telecommuter in Virginia Beach, VA. Her hobbies include drag racing, car shows, fishing, camping, shopping and internet gaming. She does regular maintenance as well as assists Jeff with the bigger automotive projects. The military has assisted in her role as navigator due to the number of moves made before GPS and internet maps were invented. Don’t let her full makeup and manicure fool you. She can drive that Bullitt and has no fear lining up with the guys.

Still here. I've been busy with a couple of national car show that are going to be on opposite coasts. I'm never too busy to rally though. I can hardly wait for May to get here and Route 66 2010 to kick off.
