Shaun, how did you get so many points?

I would like to see the stars on the threads incorporated into the user somehow.  Sort of like a quality of posts rating?

Shaun is the website god. He can make or break your point totals with a wave of his mouse.

The ability to see all posts/threads created by a user

Its nice that Shaun is taking the place of team WidebodyNSX by giving me a target on the points total.

a way to keep up with your posts

instead of a chat room, maybe a shoutbox...  I dunno I tried the Chatroom thing a few times.. its not worth the effort.

Shoutbox and find all posts by a user are great ideas IMO

a chat room and easyer made profiles im still figuren out stuff here.

Explain how you would like them incorporated in to the user, and mike to answer your question some pages on bullrun have me as the creator so per say you go to the flag girl page I get a point. Then again I can add and subtract points as I see fit.  Guess its a perk.

True but I did leave you all your stars.... we had to reset the points due to something in the database.

Chat room is over rated.  Forums are great because you can search past etc for newbe questions etc

It would be nice to be searchable by userID though..  there is stuff I posted a while back that is lost... and if you search for like "teamgto" all kinds of stuff comes up.. 

I was just tryin to clean up the forum, if we had a shout box maybe all of our threads wouldn't get so off topic.

I am not sure.  But maybe have an average of the ratings the user has had in all threads created by that user listed somewhere beneath the users name?
 

Or simplier have a thumbs up thumbs down button for each post made?

I think what your looking for is like Karma... some sites have it..  like if people like you .. you get + karma.. and if people don't like you.. you get - karma...

yeah, that is sort of what I was thinking.  That way people know who to listen to for info, and who not too.

How about a user spotlight where every month or so a user is featured on ther main page (like where it says "new users" and shows a profile pic.) Basically you click on the users profile pic and it takes you to their profile. The user of the month could get a special star called (Bullrun Hall of Fame) that you recieve only once your profile is spotlighted. In order to get in the spotlight, either people have to nominate you or it's based on contributions to the site.

but Karma..  like guys that help out alot, get good karma etc... 

How about allowing HTML comments on users pages with auto resizing (so it doesnt get outta controll) and also a way to show how many post till your next rank with your current rank displayed under your used pic in text or being able to see your staus under your user pic on forums..

Ya know inked, after I wrote that one I kinda thought the same thing, but I was thinking cars themselves.  Like as we grew up we started with a little piece of !@#$ at the age of 16, like a Ford Festiva or Corolla and they got better as we got older.  Well that could be the way to go.  First star could be a Festiva or Mustang, LOL!!!!!!!!, just kidding.  Obviously the second star would be a wipple mustang LOL!!   Well, the crown would be the Saleen S7 twin turbo. Sweet!

That would work but take way to much space up under the user name unless it just replaced it everytime with the upgrade, and then the crown would be the Bullrun Shelby Edition Mustang

I like the idea of being able to search for posts by a user. There are some posts that I'd like to find from people and it's rough trying to search for them.

I agree with the search for posts feature. We NEED that!

If I were "God" on this forum, I would appoint a "second in command" (Moderator) to monitor the forums while you are away and keep order. It's becoming a necessity on these forums.

Exactly, and when Season 3 does happen, it will become a mess again.

I am not looking forward to when Season 3 rolls around because the forums will be a mess! Last time I almost left for a while because I cou;dn't handle all the spam, "how do I get into season 3" topics, and misplacing Reality show talk in the BR 2009 forum or General discussion. I hope it won't be that bad this time around, but I know it will.

I know what the site is missing... the ability to post up POLLS....  :)
