well I was honest and upfront with Andy about our involvement, and he in fact told me at the first nite's party I had to stay another day so I wouldn't miss the mountain roads through West Virginia. He didn't say that exactly of course, more like (cue British accent) "no mate, no - you have to stick around for another day, it'll be worth it!" I was like "but we're not in the Rally!" and he looked at me strange and was like "do you really want this to end??"
Well, not much you can say to that cept stick around for another day :P We also had confirmation from another team that was heading home to NYC on Monday that we would be traveling back towards the coast - so I think the first two days of the rally were set up so that a couple people could tag along during the weekend to boost the car count at launch
I love this video! It's on facebook posted by the swine flu response team. Claus is arriving at Talladega and he thinks he's first. Little does he know that Wu has already arrived and the police car hidden behind the bullrun bus.
Ted forgot to mention who stayed behind at Mobile Alabama dragstrip to help them get the car started so he could leave. Then ran along with them for a while to make sure all was well with the chevelle. This was after all the rest of the bullrunners left the scene. He knows who it was..... and if the GN had not been involved in the "incIdent" we would have waxed his ass in the GN and still will.
Any day he's ready, I will put the camaro up against the chevelle in the quarter mile. Or better yet, how about my 67 Tempest ?
No, Im not sore, but it seems the little things no longer matter.
I will do the same on any other day cause thats who I am.

Oh, and has anyone ever mentioned who picked up Team Solstice near Talladega after their car burnt a piston at the speedway ? NO again they know who it was.
This after I just purchased the new camaro on our way to Atlanta.
No, Im not sore, but it seems the little things no longer matter.

Hoping that wasn't directed at us because we mentioned several times who picked us up at the dealership and thanked you personally! See ya at next years rally...
No T & T it was not, sorry if it came accross that way. we were more then happy to lend a hand and I know you appreciated it. It was our pleasure.
My comments were directed at the other rally participants who did not seem to give a hoot about anyone else having trouble. To them, It was all about getting to the next stop as fast as possible no matter what.
Then here's Ted bragging about his car after all the trouble he had. It was a freaking nightmare for him and he knows it. Never the less, we still enjoyed hanging with them too.
There is no way I could take off and leave another team stranded. Not gonna happen!
We truly had a blast hangin with you along the way.
I will edit, my bad!

I was just waiting for it, Brian we more then appreciated the coolness that was you and your team mate and if you watch it was the guy in the interview that was commenting ont he smack talk we had on this fourm before the website and I played it down saying how u bought the car and that everyone does a little smack talking.
And I am up for a rematch any day brotha!!! GN or Tempest (have a feelin the Tempest wil hand me my ass but..) its all good.
Of course we down played any issue because it was the end and after its over u move on and remember the fun, and the car was not a nightmare (bad dream but not nightmare) even Richard congrats us for building a car (building not buying) and finishing we had a blast and I wouldnt have brought anything else.
But we did win with that little drag race and if roles were reversed u would be smack talking to, it was meant in fun and of course we have to build up the sponsors.
The little things are the only thing that matter,
Hope this clears it up.
plus theres always next year to continue this grudge match??

1/3 of it! :P Wish we could have hung on longer...
I can't believe that bullrun gave you route cards each day. You would think that they would try to get rid of you ASAP.

That's awesome Drew. Further proof how cool Andy is. A real stand up guy who gets what it means to have avid fans of something he's created.
