so if you read my earlier blog you got the story of the wagon. well this happened about 2 months after i got it.
so i put the headers on it and she was runnin fine. on my way home she just up and died on me two blocks from my house. so i walked home and made a call to some friends to push her home. so we go get her and start pushing her ( it was a straight shot home) and as we pass this house the owner runs out and yells thats my dads car. so we stop and he goes on how his dad bought the car and where he got it from. she still has the badge on the back from the dealer. so this is her story.
his dad went out one day and bought his mom a new car, the wagon. he brought it home and pulled in the driveway and went to get her from the house. she took one look at her and said that shes not driving that thing. so he got stuck with it. well he fell in love with the car and it was perfect for him and his dog to tool around town in. he even put a cb radio in it. so drove this car aroung for 20 years. he took it to wisconsin one day and while up there it blew a head gasket. they had it towed to a local shop and he decide that he was too old to keep driving so he gave it to the shop owner for the tow. i talked with tom (the son) for quite a while about all the trips his dad and the dog took (his mom would not ride in it cause it was ugly). so to this day whenever i drive up the street and tom is out he waves and says hi. he told me that it reminds him of his dad. his dad passed away shortly after getting rid of the car.
