Disclaimer - This story is purely for entertainment purposes only. Rotary Mike will successfully piss off all but one team with this short (long?) story. Please take it as humour and nothing more.

The Start

So, with the amazing success of ‘Bullrun Season 2’, the producers of Bullrun secured a much longer season this year. They were able to secure a 17 show season through speed, and due to an immense budget given to them, Bullrun was able to invite 51 teams to participate on the show (I told you it was fiction).

So, since there have been 43 video submissions found through the bullrun.com site, they were all invited to the television rally. 8 other notable, and lazy, diehard teams were also invited to be on the television show who had yet to submit a video.

The starting cast is Team Mach 1, Team GTO, Team Pontiac, Team Goat, Team Ruby Monte Carlo, Team Old School Trans Am, Team Whipple Mustang, Team Foxbody, Team Fukitol GTO, Team Charger Daytona, Team New Mex Express, Team Wicked Mustang, Team Viper, Team Import Fighter Lumina Z34, Team Disgruntled Challenger, Team Frenchies Corvette, Team Bullitt Mustang, Team Canada RX-8, Team Rez n Pub Civic Si, Team Drivermod Civic Si, Team Civette, Team Titebox xB, Team Widebody NSX, Team Fandango M3, Team Dirty Saab, Team BDX BMW, Team Curves New Beetle TDI, Team BMW, Team Bavarian 328Ci, Team Audi Fierce, Team Ramrod, Team 6BT Dodge, Team Syclone, Team Jeep Rubicon, Team Trailblazer SS, Team Brute, Team HHR, Team Tundra, Team Tahoe, Team SSR, Team X-Runner, Team Hummer, Team Nielden, Team Funkystickman, Team Mr. Happy, Team Rebeloffaleash, Team Grand National, Team Girlytt, Kscoyote, Team Eclipse and Team DSM. If you didn’t make it on the list, I am sorry, but stop being lazy and make a fucking video already!

The format of this show is the same as season two, but 5 teams are in every challenge at the end of the show. The 4 teams with the worst total time are thrown into the challenge along with a team chosen by the winner of the leg. The bottom 3 teams are the ones to go home.

So that is it, the rally is ready to begin. The starting place? Daytona Beach Florida. Stay tuned to this thread as the rally will unfold as Rotary Mike has more and free time to write this useless story.

DAY 1

LEG 1 –

The rally began with an awesome start in Daytona Beach Florida. The teams were given their first checkpoint “Savannah Georgia “. Right from the start Mr. Happy and Team Curves New Beetle TDI start a ‘VEEDUB’ alliance and chug along to the first checkpoint. Everyone for the most is taking it easy, and making sure they can find the first checkpoint. However, team Rebelofftheleash cannot keep up to their chase van and are actually beaten to the first checkpoint by the chase vehicle.

LEG 2 –

After leaving from “Savannah Georgia “, the teams continue to head north to their second checkpoint “Atlanta Georgia “. Unfortunately, the rally suffers its first loss on this leg. Team BMW was actually running in 3^rd place during this stage when the unexpected happened. Three of their tires all blow up at the same time causing some serious suspension damage. Rumours fly of another BMW team being seen earlier that day buying an ACME jar of nails. KSCoyote crosses the line in first place on day one. Many whispers are heard from the other teams that he may be the real deal.

CHALLENGE –

Well, to the surprise of no one, KSCoyote throws Team Viper into the first challenge. With team BMW already out of the show, only two teams will be sent packing after this challenge. The three teams joining Team Viper in this first challenge are Team RX-8 Canada, Team Drivermod Civic and Team Brute. The challenge is a repeat of the opening challenge from Bullrun Season Two. The flaming bus challenge. The teams line up at the starting line and are ready to go. Team Viper was first up. They flew through the challenge and laid down a tough time to beat. After the run is over, Team Brute focuses in on the bus and hammers the gas to start the challenge. Unfortunately, they were supposed to be the third team to start the rally. Their locked-in tunnel vision on the bus prevented them from seeing Team Drivermod Civic sitting right in front of them. The brute rolls over the Civic and basically destroys it. Luckily no one was hurt. Rotary Mike from Team Canada RX-8 was quoted as saying “Holy !@#$ am I glad I was last up!” Due to the fact that actually taking out your competition is forbidden in Bullrun, team Brute is disqualified.

One day is over and we are now down to 47 teams.

DAY 2

LEG 1 –

The teams receive notice that they are to find Spartanburg South Carolina (hey, I had to use a lot of Google maps to find these places). This is a relatively uneventful leg aside from Rebeloffaleash in his military truck being beaten for the 3^rd straight leg by his chase van. Out of partial embarrassment and partial self dignity, he retires from Bullrun and vows to be back in Season 4 with a GTA.

LEG 2 –

The teams head out of the metropolis of Spartanburg and head north to Kingsport Tennessee. For the first time during the rally, all 3 GTO teams catch up to one another. As could be expected, a series of impromptu drag races, engine revs, and demonstrations of power ensue. This continues until they catch up to Team 6BT Dodge. He yells at them “Nice Grand Prixs Fellas!” Felling somewhat ashamed, they stop racing. Rotary Mike makes 6 fuel stops on this leg.

CHALLENGE –

Vowing revenge, and achieving it, Team Viper wins this leg. Without a second thought Viper throws in Team KSCoyote into the challenge. Since a competitor was lost during this day of competition, only the three teams with the longest time were thrown into the challenge. These teams were Team Fandango M3 (who took a long detour to VIR to do some lapping), Team Widebody NSX (who were delayed at a gas station for over an hour while some Fast and Furious kids surrounded their car) and Team Import Fighter Lumina Z34 (who was delayed talking ‘GM Speak’ to the owner of 1989 Turbo Grand Prix). The challenge ended up being a remake of the motorcross challenge in Season 2. Team Fandango Drew (who still had his racing slicks on from VIR) was eliminated since he could get no traction in the dirt. The other team to go home was Widebody NSX whose car beached itself on the very fist mogul.

Two strong contenders went down today leaving us at 44 cars left.

DAY 3

LEG 1 –

The teams are all given directions to the next checkpoint, Charleston West Virginia. Along this leg Team Dirty Saab and Team Civette are seen working together. They create a rolling roadblock that traps several irate teams. Jay keeps looking into his rear-view mirror and sees Team Wicked Mustang’s angry faces. Jay laughs.

LEG 2 –

Leg 2 sees the teams heading up to Columbus Ohio. Team Civette and Team Saab continue to drive using a rolling road block until disaster strikes. About 20 miles outside of Columbus, a RAV4 appears virtually out of no where and has its sights locked onto that shiny red Saab. The RAV4 has come to finish the job. With some great defensive driving, Team Saab is able to avoid a head on collision. However, the 10 teams that been trapped behind the Saab and Civette’s roadblock are not so lucky. Damages of various degrees occur to Team HHR, Team Wicked Mustang, Team Old School Trans Am, Team Tahoe, Team X-Runner, Team Audi Fierce, Team Frenchies Corvette, Team Foxbody, Team Ramrod and Team New Mex Express. In all, 7 teams had to be towed to the next checkpoint.

CHALLENGE –

After the dust settled from the day’s earlier accident, it became apparent who could and could not continue on the rally. Team X-Runner, Team Wicked Mustang, Team Frenchies Corvette, Team Foxbody, Team Old School Trans-Am and Team New Mex Express were all able to repair their vehicles with the help of the other Bullrun teams. The unlucky teams were Team Tahoe, Team HHR and Team Audi Fierce who were all unable to repair their cars in time to continue the rally. The biggest casualty of the day though was Team Ramrod. During the accident the prized feature of the Ramrod truck, the air grabber hood, was ripped clean off; thus completely disabling the vehicle. With four teams already out of the rally during this leg, the challenge was cancelled for that night.

Not liking the fact there was no challenge tonight; Team Canada RX-8 and Team Mach 1 organize their own unsanctioned drinking challenge. All is well until roughly round 5 at which point a heated drunken debate occurs between Team Charger Daytona, Team Mr Happy, and Team Civette as to who has the most attention grabbing paint job. In a strange twist, Team Pontiac is declared the winner of this debate.

Team Canada RX-8 and Team Mach 1 organize their own unsanctioned drinking challenge.

This is the kind of thing that we would do. We cheer on the other teams into slamming shots of EVERYTHING as we drink Ice Tea. The next morning we are fresh and they are all sick. We just have to make sure to stay ahead of 70 MHP backwards vomit missles.

DAY 4

LEG 1 –

With 6 teams still licking their wounds, everyone heads out for the next checkpoint, Toledo Ohio. Along the way, the infamous Ohio State Troopers strike down on the rally. Although many teams are charged with various offences, two teams are hit the hardest. Team Whipple Mustang are pulled over and subsequently thrown in jail. The details later come out that much to their protests and objections, Team Whipple Mustang could not convince the Ohio State Troopers that they just have a street legal, seriously nice looking Mustang, and not a race car on the street. Team Ruby Monte Carlo is also arrested for being Canadian. Neither team is released in time to continue the rally.

LEG 2 –

The teams head out of Toledo for the final checkpoint of the day, Detroit Michigan. Many teams need to stop for gas along this leg of the rally. Team Curves New Beetle TDI arrives at the only diesel pump they can find along the way, just to find it has been sucked dry by Team 6BT Dodge and Team Neilden. Feeling bad and guilty over the situation, Neilden throws the TDI New Beetle in the bed of his truck and drives it to the checkpoint.

CHALLENGE –

Since two teams went down during this leg of the race, only three teams were in the challenge on day 4. Team Curves New Beetle TDI were put in the challenge for violating rules (it appears that riding in the bed of a competitors truck for half a day is against the rules). Team Bullitt is also in the challenge because they had the slowest time (they tried to help bail out Team Whipple Mustang). The final competitor was chosen by the Day 4 winner, Team Pub n Rez Civic Si. Partially out of jealousy and partially out of awe, they throw team Civette into the challenge. Tonight’s challenge is titled ½ and ½. It is a ½ mile drag followed by a ½ mile oval. Unfortunately Team Curves New Beetle TDI is overmatched for this challenge and is sent home. Aaron sheds a tear.

DAY 5

LEG 1 –

As Team Frenchies Corvette had been predicting since the start of the run in Daytona, the next leg took the teams into Canada. The first destination? Kitchener Ontario. Of the 38 teams left, two were denied entry into Canada. Border guards were heard saying “I don’t like the look of those Am-ur-icans” when both Team Disgruntled Challenger and Team SSR tried to gain entry into Canada. Oddly enough, Team Dirty Saab was allowed into Canada.

LEG 2 –

With two teams gone already, things were not looking great for Day 5. Teams were heading out to Collingwood Ontario. Along the way, Team Jeep Rubicon spots a big flooded field at the side of the highway and heads off to do some ‘mud-boggin’. Shortly after, Team Hummer spots the Jeep and joins the fun. Team Funkystickman Ion Redline thinks it looks fun and tries to join in, but he just gets stuck. Luckily, Neilden drives by and pulls out Funkystickman.

CHALLENGE –

Team Canada RX-8 wins this leg by using their knowledge of their home province. Even while averaging 6 gas stops a leg, they still pulled it off. Since two cars went down again today (notice a trend?) only three cars would be competing in the challenge. Team Jeep Rubicon and Team Hummer were the last two teams to arrive due to their 4 hour mud-bog session. Since today’s final checkpoint was in ski country, Rotary Mike figured it could be an off-road challenge. With a Hummer and a Jeep already in the challenge, Rotary Mike decides to pull a complete asshole move he throws in team BDX BMW. The challenge ends up being a ski-hill-climb challenge. DAY 6

LEG 1 –

The teams were given directions to head out to Bobcaygeon Ontario. It was a nice scenic drive through the upper regions of Southern Ontario. It was enjoyed by all. That is, until Team Fukitol GTO met ‘The Only Moose That Matters’ head on. Luckily neither Caleb nor Chris was injured, but the car was a write-off. Team Syclone came out of no-where and won the leg.

LEG 2

Leg two was destined for Ottawa Ontario, the capital of Canada (there is your geography lesson for the day). Team Tundra jumped on the radio and sent out a A.P.B. when they witnessed Johnny Ross and Peter Ross run Team Bullitt Mustang off the road and kidnap them (watch the original Bullitt movie to get the joke…..they’re the bad guys).

CHALLENGE –

For a change, two teams were eliminated even before the challenge happened. Team Hummer once again came in last place as they drove from Collingwood all the way to Ottawa without using a single road. He was quoted as saying “It was fun, but slow……yee-haw!” Joining him in the challenge was the second slowest team on this leg, Team Wicked Mustang who swore they had to make a detour because some girl in a car was chasing them. No one believes them. The final team in the challenge was Team RX-8 Canada who was thrown into the challenge by this day’s winning team, Team Bavarian 328Ci. They were extracting revenge for their fallen BMW brother. The challenge was a repeat of the parking lot challenge in season 1. Unfortunately the Hummer could not keep up and were sent home.

Guess I better make darn sure I bring all my ultraminiskirts, and school girl outfits down with me - I'll tell dad to wear his teeth at all times as well, just in case it's a chick!!
