They (Team BUS) are going to be great. It just makes me feel better to kick up a little dust.... Of course I am going to have to cheer them on... It's Classic VW power. I am sure that they know what they are doing and like I said if they are good enough to get people to watch then we might get a season 3...
I just know it must of been hard on them to be spanked so hard in the handling department. I just don't see that rig doing any major cone challenges . Straight track easy pleassy and now TURRRRNNN.

I'd show the Isuzu if we were doing a snow run lol. My big peen swinging V6 rodeo. We were just on the highway a few minutes ago and it's snowing like a mo fo right now. I'm doing 50 while everyone is doing 30 all scared.
You can tell who is from New England and who is not because we are flying by everyone else. Some idiot even STOPPED in the right lane on I-93 S. He didn't pull over or anything. He just stopped on the highway to get out and clean his wipers in a bilzzard and traffic was flowing. He caused a line of traffic for 1/2 a mile..
The Z is the summer ride. Well... I drive it in the snow, but not like tonight. In a few days I'll drive it again if it stopps snowing lol.
I can borrow a bunch of cars if I need, but I would not want to do it anything but a Z. I'd kick ass in my car. I know it well. I was going to do a TT swap, but you don't need turbos for the Bullrun show. The rally maybe, but not the show. The NA would be better in so many ways.
Too many problems with turbos on rallies... Trus me lol I've seen it toooooo many times.
"There were no cops, no trees, no humans of any kind so we decided to wring out the little Ford. For 47 minutes straight the Fusion was pinned at 111 mph with the A/C on getting 25mpg. John, Gabe and I all sat there astonished. We made one fuel stop, saw no other Bullrunners and came in... are you ready... 6th place for the day! IN A RENTED FORD FUSION!! CAN I GET A BOOYA!!!
Ford people, if you are reading this contact me immediately because I don't think you know how good this little car is. Seriously, we should talk about perhaps producing some Ford Fusion "MR. ANGRY" editions. I LOVE THIS CAR!"

Yeah, everybody can say "I'll just be first every leg" but that's just not gonna happen unless all the cards line up just right. It's a very tough game... I'd almost prefer a straight-up rally. Too bad I live so far away from New England.
Hey, wait, isn't the point to drive long distances? Duh!
No, there are different kinds of rallies. Timed events, short distance, track, long distance, endurance, etc., There's as many different flavors of rallies as there are regions in the world.
You won't find a WRC car running the Paris to Dakar, or the Baja 1000, You won't find a Paris/Dakar car running in a Targa. All different events.

10K rally miles ARE different to a point. But the conditions, etc., are similar, if you drive in all seasons under time constraints.
No one drives for fun in freezing rain, sleet, snow, blizzards, etc., and has to be there at 8:00AM, driving overnight through the above conditions. The stuff I learned racing motorcycles in those conditions translated well to my job, and I was paid well for doing it. Well you are in the right place to start off. Watch some Bullrun rally videos. Also be aware that the show is nothing like the rally.
Watch some gumball3000 videos and mischief cops cars and superstars videos. Great American Run, Carbon Black, Fireball Run, New England Rally, Players Run, AKA Rally, Exotics rally, targa Newfoundland and baja 1000 videos.
And while you are at it do a search for Alex Roy, Kimball, lonman, ant and pete, torquenstine, Richard Rawlings, team Twins, team darkcyd racing and brock yates.
Sean, I'm very interested in what you guys do up there.
In truth, I would probably not be able to travel up there due to my wife being alone with 4 kids, more than cost (as I get pretty good gas mileage). I've also checked out the newenglandrally.com website, and I'd like to see even more info on there about the rules you guys use, in case I get the chance to do one down here. Who knows, I might even start one myself.
I'm familiar with Alex Roy, and Brock Yates, I'll have to read up some more on the other crews to see what's up. The movies are kind of a mixed bag, as there's always some amount of fiction in there to make it interesting (unless it's a documentary).
Regardless, it would be awesome to have the Saturn in a honest-to-god road rally. I think it would do us proud!
Street stock enduro's are basically stock cars with the glass removed, the door welded shut, and the gastanks moved into the trunk. They race on 1/8 th mile ovals, or 1/4 ovals. And its usually 100 to 150 laps of a smashing good time.

This is a ride that I have been working on for sometime. It's close to being finished in fact it could be done this summer if i put the bug on the back burner.
Tony - said "you should post all your cars." ( I might have misquoted him) but I do get the drift. If I limit my appeal then I limit the chance of ever running a Bullrun event.
F'in Einstien!
Why in the hell didn't I think of that. I was trying to force feed one car. When I could have been showing the whole stable of cars in my garage!
This gets my motor restarted for a Season three run.... Let me introduce you to my cars!
This is Darthvader! 2001 Supercrew - Supercharged (insane daily driver)
This is Al-C 1934 Ford (350) My hoodie ride! Still not ready to rip up the streets. Maybe this summer! Needs a little more paint and a complete interior. Haven't even started that yet!
And of course MISTER HAPPY!
Then there is my bikes
This is BRAIN DEAD! the first Mini Chopper to be invited to a EASYRIDER SHOW!

I've run a rally or 2 in my time
I've had so much fun in them I started my own. www.newenglandrally.com
Try to get your a$$ this way one of these days. We do 3-5 runs a year.
I have a feeling that we are going to have a hard time getting on the show because we would be "the ones to beat".
Karoline and I have logged hundreds of thousands of miles on the road together. We have a slight advantage lol.
We are used to keeping rally hours. Some of you understand that statment. Others have nooooo idea lol.
Rally hours are a demanding. There is sooo much to a rally.
Psssht! I average 40,000 miles a year! And these past couple of years have been slow - more office time, less on-site work.
It's all about durability & smart modifications - fewest stops wins in a long distance rally, enduro, whatever.
K.I.S.S.

If it were purely ratings, Musto would've won, and the Olds & F-150 would be nowhere in the finals.
(No offense to the Olds crew, but there aren't a lot of Olds fans out there).

"speed, mods, cars in general.. is like crack. and then it becomes my crack is better than your crack. Why can;t we just enjoy the crack together? Just enjoy the crack man"
Well you are in the right place to start off.
That should keep you busy for a while.
And now... welcome to the dark side!
RICHARD RAWLINGS! ROCKS---- That would be me If I was rich....
DSM thats a nice truck! Why not take a look at mine.. F150 SuperCrew! I'm more than my bug.

True. It's a different game. We ain't talking 10 second 1/4 mile runs. It's more like 15-20 second MILES.
Hey Aaron nice truck. With a little NOS there's your season 3 ride.
