WHY Have So Many Teams Just Disapeared?

This being the halloween version on the Myspace Bullrun blog I thought about coming up with a spooky Question? WHERE are they?

Being one on the insiders now I understand that you get a little overwhelmed with the ACTION that is in your face for those 3 weeks. It feels like you need a little down time to bring in your thoughts and feelings. A lot of !@#$ is whizzing around while your on the road. Everyone doesn't quite know what the hell is going on and that really puts a wear on your mind and body.

So people drifting away after doing something like this is to be expected. Most of the teams that have stuck around have done it for you, the fans. I know that I enjoy the interaction I have with all of you every week. But I am not asking why Elvis, Tony, Team VW or T&T have stuck around. I want to know why the rest of the teams have just bailed on the whole Bullrun idea?

I am betting that for most of them it is personal. You have to remember that Bullrun is a race and a TV show that makes it something most car people have never experianced. I know that even with all of my "Blogging" I was caught off guard. It was like I never really had a full grasp of the events that were spinning around me.

You see David and Andy along with the rest of the production staff did try to keep us and I bet the other seasons guessing "WHAT NOW". This drove me and Troy nuts along with the rest of the teams. I know that many of my seasons teams are still wondering just what the hell we did. I have to think that the other teams also are still asking that question.

There are 36 teams that have gotten a chance to play in the Dust with David and Andy. With most of them gone and never to be seen from again. You have to wonder did they have a bad taste? I don't think so I believe that most have moved on to see what else the world has in store for them. As for myself I am looking at other events now. You see being in the RACE it does change you. Be that good or bad you aren't the same once you leave the party.

Happy Halloween

BULLRUN III (SPEED)
JUST DANCE - PART ONE

I have been sitting here at home remodeling my kitchen, thinking about the entire Bullrun season and how Team V-Dub ran it. More to the point I am thinking about what I had said on camera. Did I say anything that could portray us badly? You know EVOish? Not that I would change anything, it's in the can in an L.A. editing booth far from my manipulating efforts. So what it is, is what it is. I had a game plan and played the others exactly as planned. Only the editing of the story will determine just what you all think of Team V-Dubs efforts and its strategy.

I am getting a little nervous about what you are going to think of us. A few of you are beginning to pick your dream teams. Will your team be able to live up to your expectations?

Did we give you enough to live up to your expectations? Will you say !@#$ YA! Or will you say !@#$-in tools! Whatever happens, I think that you will want more from us. We all rocked the camera's so well! The efforts that each team put on the camera is going to make an EPIC season no matter how we are spotlighted. I remember watching Andy and David from time to time looking like they had just seen their first set of Ta-Ta's after seeing a special Bullrun moment on tape. EPIC, EPIC!

But, that still leaves me with that blaring question ? How are we going to be portrayed?

I asked Andy that very question. (I mostly was thinking of EVO when I asked it and not thinking about my teams position in the story.) So with everyone around and just before we all were to be released for home. I asked Andy this question, "Well, all that is left now is to see how you (the Bullrun editors) will portray us on the show this season?" Andy stopped and looked at me for a moment, and said. "We only have to work with what you gave us. We don't cut and edit your comments to put words in your mouths?" That was the truest statement I had heard my entire time on the set. True Andy and David had pushed our buttons while we were running our race, but that was over. They had wrapped and could be completely forward with us now. We weren't the talent anymore but real people again. They had what they needed. I remember all the teams around the table that moment stopping and listening to his answer. A lot of mixed feelings were present around that table at that very moment, but we all stopped and thought a second about Andy's answer. We were done and going home our roles in the Bullrun world was over. It was the end and still I don't remember anyone saying anything.  If they had replied back to Andy I wasn't paying attention. To me Andy's answer rang very crystal clear...

We had portrayed ourselves for all of you to see. Their job was to bring this seasons story together for 10 episodes on Speed. We had pre-framed ourselves on camera. All Bullrun was going to do was grab the tastiest bits and stitch it together. Like it or not we had given them a tune. Now the only thing for us to do is Dance. Just Dance to the tune that we laid down with a little help from a unseen Dance instructor named?

-Continued next week

Excellent write up Aaron! We can't wait to see you guys on TV! What we all need to remember as viewers is that they need conflict for the TV show to be successful. Someone has to be the bad guy and someone has to be the good guy. They have over 30 cameras with footage to sort through that probably add up to an axcess of 40 hours per episode. That footage has to be cut down to 1 hour, so thay can really portray anyone however they like. It's a TV show, and we will all know that even if they make you the next Team Evo, Aaron, we will still be rooting for you. There are so many awesome teams this season that it's going to be hard for us fans to pick and choose our favorites. I'm looking ofreward to next week's write-up!

Sweet! Happy to see you made it and don't worry about the portrayals. It's a competition. People change when they are competing. If you put skates on me and a Hockey stick in my hands I turn into someone else too (you wouldn't like me when I'm angry). Anyways, lots of people here (and elsewhere I'm sure) are pulling for you and can't wait to see it. As long as it was all worth it to you and Mr.Happy, that's pretty much all that matters.

That's what I hope, but I am not counting on it. maybe they'll have a quick teaser, but since the show won't aair untul Feb. 12th, we likely won't see many commercials until January. That's how it was last season. Forst commercial (Goldberg voiceover one, no actual footage) came out in late December, and the next commercial didn't come out until January. I still hope that Bullrun gives us a teaser during the marathon.

I think a teaser would be nice.... JB I am also looking forward to the commercials.

I am glad you all enjoyed this weeks blog.. It is going to be a three part piece, there is just to much to put into one blog. Come to think of it this will be my first multi blog.

Matthew,

I don't think you can use last year as an example. It was shot much later in the year and editing takes time.

Tony, all I am saying is that last Season, they had their first commercial out near the tail end of filming. That was te 15 second Goldberg voice over commercial. I am just saying that I won't expect an actual commercial until closer to the air date. Why would they put out ads before they need to? I can see possibly one teaser ad coming up during the Season 2 Marathon, but again, a TEASER ad, not a full commercial. Editing takes time, yes I know. That is why I said that we won't see commercials until January. Last season, we saw the bulk of the commercials just under one month before the show actually aired.

Oh, Anyone on the Season this year knows I were my emotions on my hat. Push me in a corner and I bite, If I am sad I cry (man Cry that is). I am very happy with who I am but sound bites don't always tell the truth. Still as you know I could never be an EVO.

Thanks for your support.... I hope you smile when you see us run! I know I am proud of our efforts. We might even have a (CENSORED for EFFECT)...

BULLRUN 3 (Speed)
JUST DANCE - Part 2

In last weeks blog I promised to talk to you about the Dance Instructor. Well, I contacted him. I asked him if he would be OK with this blog about him. He was inclined to decline. I was a little disappointed in his answer, but understand his reasons for declining. I know you all would have enjoyed learning about Him. He was one hell of a guy, that is for sure.

I do have to say that for as important as he was. I would have thought they would have given him a little more help. I was always intrigued about just how far way from everyone they put him. He seemed to always be in need of a extra power cable or some lighting equipment. But he made due and had the balls when it was needed to get that point or shot that he needed to build the story. Even if he always seemed to be hunting down a team or two. Who at times rather would be eating or taking a crap in the john than having to talk about anything BULLRUN. (Sorry)

When we all finished for the day we were tired and the last thing that we wanted to do was talk to anyone. Still in the nicest of ways would get us to talk about the pressure building in the race and how we felt about the other guys actions. If he didn't get what he wanted he would not give in but ask the question with a little salt to get a reaction from us. I think Troy said it best "He's our personal Bullrun shrink." He had a very good knack for pulling the tastier bits out of your mouths and putting it on tape. God only knows what we said to him. I know that I can't hardly remember what I said.  I don't think anyone was really thinking it was real at the time, it was more surreal to us at the time. David told us that we could lie our asses off to the other teams or jerk their chains as much as we liked. (I liked it a lot! One team was ranked above all in chain yanking.) But we could tell the Dance instructor anything and he would be a priest about it.

It's just now he is going to be the priest that writes a tell all book.... I know I can't wait to hear the crap that is in his book of secrets. Oh, what fun it is going to be to hear the other teams telling us just how they were going to play us. Every team will be sitting on the edge of their chairs straining to understand the other teams actions when this finally airs.

My team and the other teams don't know all that has happened. Bullrun is a wild tune that strings together intense emotions and salty sweat, building a story book of unimaginable depth. We are going to be hanging on the words that the Dance instructor pulled from his book "OF Inter-Team Gossip."

We the fantastic teams of Bullrun 3 also can't wait for February. Just what have Andy & David decided to use and what will be left behind. That is the biggest question that I am and the other teams are asking each other. If we are all twitterpated about this seasons antics. Then you all should be busting a nut waiting for that special night when Bill Goldberg says LETS GET IT ON!

Nicely said Aaron! Is that picture from Bullrun Season 3? If so, WOW! That looks ridiculous! I can't wait to see how they edit the season thgether. Of course you will have a better idea as to what actually went on vs. what they show on tv. Too bad the "dance instructor" didn't want to be mentioned in the blog. I wanted to hear more about him.

Nice blog entry Aaron, I'm already looking foreward to next week's blog!

MAN!!!  I gotta stop reading these new blogs of yours Aaron.  I get more and more excited to see February finally show up.  I, obviously, know who you are talking about and it is SO true.  He would really get all the teams to say more than they were expecting themselves to say.  It was really a bit genious on his part.  Great Stuff!!!  Boy, this show is going to be AWESOME!

That is the biggest question that I am and the other teams are asking each other. If we are all twitterpated about this seasons antics. Then you all should be busting a nut waiting for that special night when Bill Goldberg says LETS GET IT ON!
