I agree. If they want the Bullrun show to take off they need to keep it going. The down time will slow the progress.
It's not like they can't fill 12 seasons of people with ease. And if they do all of the winners return after 12 shows that would bring us to 13 shows no problem.
It would be nice to see a summer show. You know through Central USA or the east coast. Seems it would be hard to do winter shows through those states since the weather is unpredictible. What would the challenge be ice skating your car across a frozen highway and not hitting the barrier.

Using the crazy weather and ice for some of the challenges would be great. Some of us that go out in the snow to play in our vehicles would make for some entertaining TV. I know how to drive really well in the show. I'm sure there are a bunch of other people around this forum that would be considered "professional bad weather drivers".
I would like to see a $50,000.00 Lambo eating a guard rail in a snow bank as a Super-Z zips past and on to victory... Some bad weather driving would really add pressure on those exotic trailer queens.They would be kicking tires a beeping out the foul mouth babies.
Bad weather would be great for viewers but hard to film in. WHo cares lets hope we get to see a little of the Northeast in the ending legs. Its about what we want! And I for one wants a smashed up Lambo for Christmas.

I agree it would be fun to watch a few high dollar cars due the ice skate waltz. But the filming would probably leave a lot to be desired. It would really be great to see alot of the smack talkers try this kind of run.

I would be laughing my ass off to see them chaining up for the finale leg! Or see them changing to studded tires at a poedunk tire center... Oh, what fun to watch! I would think Team TOMCAT would have the best chance of winning if they had to survive some bad weather. I hope he would rub a little salt in the wound just for kicks. Beside the fact he drive an "AVALANCHE" what sweet irony that would be... LOL (if he made this season)

Update: It seems we don't know what is going down? Maybe they have started or haven't. Seems that the time table might not be what we think it is and if so all the rumors might just be that "Rumor". This weeks blog was based on the idea they started the rally on Nov 30th and that teams needed to be avalible from Nov-26th to Dec 20th. So I believe that they are going to rap on the Dec 20th. And during that time they need to eliminate 1 team every 2.2days. That would leave 4 teams as of today. If they are using the same format as the first rally.. That is my guess and is just a guess. I must need to have a disclaimer on my blogs and don't mean to mislead anyone....
I am just writing down my thoughts on the subject of Bullrun using the information I have. Nothing more.... I can't believe people think I would post anything that might or could destroy any chance of running a Bullrun with my team...

Also throw in the Six-er Stang, Scotts GTO,Talon, Seans 300ZX a few others and we have season 3 ready to roll! We just saved the Bullrun powers-that-be the trouble and budget expendature of needing to hire casting directors! They can use that saved $$ for RACETRACK rentals and setting up auto-x courses!

I'm already planning a Loyds of London special event insurance policy so I'll be prepared. Once the new year hits I'm going to set it up. I want to be ready to roll once they start casting for S3.
The older cars dont die the owners do.I had a 77 chev truck and drove it for 5 years it had a 350 in it and drove like a dream. I did min. maintenance on it. I could have driven it for 5 more years but the body rusted off, there is something about driving a truck and counting the road lines through the holes in the floor boards.

BULLRUN III: MISTER HAPPY & The BAJA (SCORE)!

Team VW is up to our necks rebuilding the perfect combination of Power VS Preformance. And we have decided on the motor.
1.97 litter Fuel injected Turbo! thats right I am putting in the same displacement motor but adding a couple of better parts in the rebuild.
I have to thank TONY or as you guys know him as TEAM DART for helping me to come to this conclusion. It wasn't an easy choice. I struggled with the whole issue of what to do. Air Cooled or WRX STI? Go Big or Smaller in it's displacement? I know the VW Boxer motors and that is what I can fix anywhere. That is an advantage that I just couldn't give up. If I am going to run this race then I should take my own advice and stick with what I know.
I am not going to get super exotic in the build but keep it strong. Here is the parts list that I will be using and what I excpect from it in HP

By using this time to dyno the motor and work through any issues. Team VW should be ready for a spring casting call and get some good seat time before the (hoping) Bullrun III.
This isn't the only project that TeamVW & MISTER HAPPY are going to be up to during this down period. We have decided to run the BAJA 1000 this summer. We will be also building a Class 11 SCORE car. We think that these two project are going to keep us busy this off season. I will keep you informed on both of these adventures.

FLASH BACK - It was a tragic Sorority (Alpha Delta Pi) party. I thought it was a strip club. They were all soccer players blacked out after tipping the third one.. Small town kid needed a little help in a big college town at least for the first few terms.
BTW - I ordered the SCORE 2006-2010 REGS should be here in a few days. It's something I always wanted to do and Class 11 is a entry racing class so that is why we picked it. We could have picked Stock class, but I have to be able to build something. Besides if Bullrun season 32 doesn't happen I have to race something in a bug.

WOW! What do I say......
I can't tell you just how this makes me feel. It's a mixed bag of emotions. I have been close twice and both times beat by some really cool cars. It is very easy to say that I am happy to have the Bullrun return to tv but bumbed that we hit that F'in wall again. Funny, I was fine with getting passed by in this round of casting because I had some hope of making the next one. That was before I learned it was a VW Classic that took us out. I don't think I would have cared if it was any other car made by VW. But did it have to be a Classic Bus!
I know Bill's bus is sweet and will do a great job in holding up the hobbie's pride. Still I don't think any other VW fan or Bullrun Fan (other than the uber rich teams that run it every year) has built a car just for this rally. I didn't build it for shows or drags it was built for BULLRUN down to the suicide doors. Every part, gear, and modification was added to win this type of race. I started to build this car the first time I saw a Bullrun Rally. I told myself that if I could design a unique car that can stand strong with the likes of Team Policia or Team Texas (Richard Rawlins) my personal favorite then I would have a bitchin car. I BUILT THAT CAR!
It is everything I thought it would be. I get to enjoy it everyday because it is such a great design. But knowning that another classic v-dub made the cut....Man that hurts just because I know in my heart of hearts that MISTER HAPPY isn't going to ever get that chance to win. It's a two time loser and lets face it they aren't going to be picking another V-dub for season three. There are way to many great cars that are waiting for a chance to be a part of the Bullrun! to return to the Classic Line of VW's.
You might say "but its a bug and not a bus" it's a different car. That might be true but it isn't going to be a shock like the bus is. It will be "Oh, we have seen a VW before.". MISER HAPPY loses the impact that I counted on to make it special and stand out from the other cars.
You know the sad thing is my car would have dropped peoples jaws as I destroyed cars in leg after leg. I was willing to give it everything even if it meant destorying the car. I told you that it was built for this race and I would have done whatever was needed to win. Even if it meant burning MISTER HAPPY to the ground.
I also told you guys that I never give up unless there isn't any chance of achiving my goals. I believe that time has come for Me and MISTER HAPPY!. I am going to remain a fan of one of the greatest auto events every to grace NORTH AMERICA but I not going to enter us in any more casting calls.
We are done......

Aaron, it sucks... to tell the truth, I know I'll never make it on the show. There's just no way they'd pick anything like my team. But to give up is just not in my nature, unless I knew there was absolutely no chance of winning... and even then I'd give it a shot.
I'd suggest trying to enter in some smaller rallies, and get your rep out more, if you haven't already. Fact is, not making the TV show isn't the end of Mr. Happy, and it's not the end of your rallying career. I'd love to run a rally with you guys sometime, if for no other reason than we'd both be underdogs together.
Maybe it would help me understand if I knew what was involved in casting for the show. What can you tell me about it? What kind of demands are there? What is required?
Still I know when its a lost cause... you can bet that MisterHappy isn't going down without getting beat hard and put away wet....It's the way I roll !!!! If your ever in my neck of the woods I would love to roll with ya... But as for Bullrun and MISTER HAPPY it isn't going to happen...

I know it's a pretty big letdown to not make the rally, but the letdowns just make the payout that much sweeter when it comes. Who knows, maybe the bus really opened some people's eyes to what VW's are all about and they'll want another badass ride on for Season 3! Just don't throw in the towel so easily, that's not your style, bro.
It's going to be the greatest Bullrun season yet! We are going to get to see our friends take part in this adventure every week this Feb 09. Three SUPERFANS made this season Rally that is bitch'in and if I helped Andy take a good look at Classic VW power for this show then it wasn't a waste of time. I was told that I was the last cut because of a similar car they told me the truth and I am proud to have made it as far as I did. Many teams didn't make it as far a I have. It was a great trip...
I just hope that that Bill's Bus doesn't F'up and make Classic V-dubs look bad. They are good guys and your going to be amazed at what that type 4 is able to do. AND if he doesn't push it to it limit. Oh you bet that he's going to hear about it from me...

the thing that makes me mad is i never once seen the bill with the bus on the forums, yeah i know he has a b-run profile. but i remember reading the rules to get on the show, and i beleive it said something like be a regular forum user and they will be reading the forums for the people. i dont know. thats just my 2 cents.
You guys know the funny thing about this VW Bus? Is that I was getting tons of comments of my Myspace Blog. - I didn't post them because I feel that it isn't my place to release sightings information...
I was getting blasted for not being honest about being on the show... People were being a little lets say rude. I even told Tony (TEAM DART) that was thinking about hanging it up. I guess now I know the reason why people thought it was me. How in the world they mixed up a BUS for a Bug I will never know.
I'm not going away. I enjoy the Bullrun and will continue to be apart of the conversation with all of my friends on the site.
I not going to jump through anymore casting hoops. They aren't going to cast another classic vw for at least 2 more seasons. Jenny was completely honest with me about were I stood in the casting line. That was good to know, my chain wasn't getting jerked. I made it to the tippy top. Andy and the other producers must have felt that Bill and the BUS had a better chance of getting Bullrun back up and running. So if we do get a Season 3 of BULLRUN because I didn't get cast thats fine. I will be able to enjoy another adventure from my armchair..
Still I would have run circles around that bus and you know it. (like they could do circles!) ha
I am still going to throw a viewing party this FEBUARY. If your in the area please stop on in, any Bullrun fan is welcome here!

This isn't the only project that TeamVW & MISTER HAPPY are going to be up to during this down period. We have decided to run the BAJA 1000 this summer. We will be also building a Class 11 SCORE car. We think that these two project are going to keep us busy this off season. I will keep you informed on both of these adventures.

FLASH BACK - It was a tragic Sorority (Alpha Delta Pi) party. I thought it was a strip club. They were all soccer players
blacked out after tipping the third one.. Small town kid needed a little help in a big college town at least for the first few terms.
BTW - I ordered the SCORE 2006-2010 REGS should be here in a few days. It's something I always wanted to do and Class 11 is a entry racing class so that is why we picked it. We could have picked Stock class, but I have to be able to build something. Besides if Bullrun season 32 doesn't happen I have to race something in a bug.

BULLRUN2 TEAM VW's BLOG - A BUGS FINAL RUN.
This isn't a repost of my MYSPACE BLOG you are the first to know.
WOW! What do I say......
I can't tell you just how this makes me feel. It's a mixed bag of emotions. I have been close twice and both times beat by some really cool cars. It is very easy to say that I am happy to have the Bullrun return to tv but bumbed that we hit that F'in wall again. Funny, I was fine with getting passed by in this round of casting because I had some hope of making the next one. That was before I learned it was a VW Classic that took us out. I don't think I would have cared if it was any other car made by VW. But did it have to be a Classic Bus!
I know Bill's bus is sweet and will do a great job in holding up the hobbie's pride. Still I don't think any other VW fan or Bullrun Fan (other than the uber rich teams that run it every year) has built a car just for this rally. I didn't build it for shows or drags it was built for BULLRUN down to the suicide doors. Every part, gear, and modification was added to win this type of race. I started to build this car the first time I saw a Bullrun Rally. I told myself that if I could design a unique car that can stand strong with the likes of Team Policia or Team Texas (Richard Rawlins) my personal favorite then I would have a bitchin car. I BUILT THAT CAR!
It is everything I thought it would be. I get to enjoy it everyday because it is such a great design. But knowning that another classic v-dub made the cut....Man that hurts just because I know in my heart of hearts that MISTER HAPPY isn't going to ever get that chance to win. It's a two time loser and lets face it they aren't going to be picking another V-dub for season three. There are way to many great cars that are waiting for a chance to be a part of the Bullrun! to return to the Classic Line of VW's.
You might say "but its a bug and not a bus" it's a different car. That might be true but it isn't going to be a shock like the bus is. It will be "Oh, we have seen a VW before.". MISER HAPPY loses the impact that I counted on to make it special and stand out from the other cars.
You know the sad thing is my car would have dropped peoples jaws as I destroyed cars in leg after leg. I was willing to give it everything even if it meant destorying the car. I told you that it was built for this race and I would have done whatever was needed to win. Even if it meant burning MISTER HAPPY to the ground.
I also told you guys that I never give up unless there isn't any chance of achiving my goals. I believe that time has come for Me and MISTER HAPPY!. I am going to remain a fan of one of the greatest auto events every to grace NORTH AMERICA but I not going to enter us in any more casting calls.
We are done......

Aaron, it sucks... to tell the truth, I know I'll never make it on the show. There's just no way they'd pick anything like my team. But to give up is just not in my nature, unless I knew there was absolutely no chance of winning... and even then I'd give it a shot.
I'd suggest trying to enter in some smaller rallies, and get your rep out more, if you haven't already. Fact is, not making the TV show isn't the end of Mr. Happy, and it's not the end of your rallying career. I'd love to run a rally with you guys sometime, if for no other reason than we'd both be underdogs together.
Maybe it would help me understand if I knew what was involved in casting for the show. What can you tell me about it? What kind of demands are there? What is required?

I know it's a pretty big letdown to not make the rally, but the letdowns just make the payout that much sweeter when it comes. Who knows, maybe the bus really opened some people's eyes to what VW's are all about and they'll want another badass ride on for Season 3! Just don't throw in the towel so easily, that's not your style, bro.

It's going to be the greatest Bullrun season yet! We are going to get to see our friends take part in this adventure every week this Feb 09. Three SUPERFANS made this season Rally that is bitch'in and if I helped Andy take a good look at Classic VW power for this show then it wasn't a waste of time. I was told that I was the last cut because of a similar car they told me the truth and I am proud to have made it as far as I did. Many teams didn't make it as far a I have. It was a great trip...
I just hope that that Bill's Bus doesn't F'up and make Classic V-dubs look bad. They are good guys and your going to be amazed at what that type 4 is able to do. AND if he doesn't push it to it limit. Oh you bet that he's going to hear about it from me...

the thing that makes me mad is i never once seen the bill with the bus on the forums, yeah i know he has a b-run profile. but i remember reading the rules to get on the show, and i beleive it said something like be a regular forum user and they will be reading the forums for the people. i dont know. thats just my 2 cents.

You guys know the funny thing about this VW Bus? Is that I was getting tons of comments of my Myspace Blog. - I didn't post them because I feel that it isn't my place to release sightings information...
I was getting blasted for not being honest about being on the show... People were being a little lets say rude. I even told Tony (TEAM DART) that was thinking about hanging it up. I guess now I know the reason why people thought it was me. How in the world they mixed up a BUS for a Bug I will never know.
I'm not going away. I enjoy the Bullrun and will continue to be apart of the conversation with all of my friends on the site.
I not going to jump through anymore casting hoops. They aren't going to cast another classic vw for at least 2 more seasons. Jenny was completely honest with me about were I stood in the casting line. That was good to know, my chain wasn't getting jerked. I made it to the tippy top. Andy and the other producers must have felt that Bill and the BUS had a better chance of getting Bullrun back up and running. So if we do get a Season 3 of BULLRUN because I didn't get cast thats fine. I will be able to enjoy another adventure from my armchair..
Still I would have run circles around that bus and you know it. (like they could do circles!) ha
I am still going to throw a viewing party this FEBUARY. If your in the area please stop on in, any Bullrun fan is welcome here!
