hey welcome me and my team are just getting back online and getting our video shot and pics taken. it looks like were too late for season 3, i read that casting ends this month so im really upset about that but hopefully we can get on season 4 by staying on consistantly from now on. so good luck in the rally and i hope we both get on the show eventually!!

Thanks for the props bud. There are so many of the GNs with super low miles on them owned by people who are saving them for what ever reason. I plan  on using this one daily until the rally in July. As far as I am concerned, this car has sat around long enough. It's gonna get re-introduced to the car world.

Welcome... nice to see  GN here. The turbo 3.8 was the testing grounds for the power plant in my truck.

Hey bud, I have a friend who has a SY with only 10k miles on it. Just saw it today for the first time. It is pristine. He says its not for sale, but I know, everything has a price. I am going to buy it when he is ready to sell. They are great trucks. I remember them well.

I owned 2 of those car back in it's heyday a 86 and a 87 wait till you get a 10 degree day with no humidity. Those cars EAT IT UP! Hopefully a bunch of us will be in NYC to see you off. I know I am going to be there party or not.

I would really hate to be the people picking the finalists for Bullrun 3.  So many nice vehicles and unique personalities.  Would love to see your GN and the Syclone go at it.

There are many many videos online of that very thing... With the idea of more cars in Season 3 and a longer running time I am sure we would team up for the early legs.

With the GN being asleep at the light, plus the AWD for the SY really makes a difference no doubt.

It's gonna be a tough job picking from so many great looking teams, but I can promise, if the GN and SY got in, it would be entertainment like no other season.

I had access to these cars from when they first came out in 84 all the way up to the last year in 87 when I worked at a Buick Dealership, but never owned one. However, each one that came in for the new car prep, got a complete workout!!!

They were badass for sure.

Im counting on you guys to be in NYC. Hopefully we can all get together for the kick off party the night before. (im sure thats what your plans are anyway)

I plan on meeting up with some friends this week to prepare an audition vid. I dont have a clue as to what it will include other then some off the hook burnouts.

Yea, definately will be an awesome show watching Team Syclone and Team Grand National go at it. We all know both of these vehicles are often found on jackstands so it's in our blood to help others when needed and I agree that it would be a shame to knock you out the final day.

BR-S3s first alliance  sweet,   thats so fnn funny, I like it.  LMAO   Bet we could give em all they want and more. Its all or nothing in whatever I do though, so you better be on your best game. Me and my co-driver race every weekend so competition is something we are very used to. It will be like being at home for us.......

Even though we race every week we will still help the guy we are competing against by giving him whatever we have to get him out there to compete againgst us & he would do the same. But when we are at the starting line full staged with my finger on the trans brake button then the green comes down, its every man for himself.

But no matter what happens in a competition, we will always come out as friends. Thats just the way it is and always will be.....

Beware! Once I win Bullrun 3, I may hold you to that....that is IF iget prize money...LOL

New turbo came  in today for the GN, (basically stock) heads going back on tonight and tomorrow. New mini tach, boost gauge, oil press, and temp gauges, new 3" down pipe and low restriction converter, new custom chip for ECM, back on the road by weekend or monday. Then to co-drivers (Billy's) shop for trans & oil cooler, new 3 core alum radiator, brakes check over, trans and rear service, install cb radio, gps, scanner, valentine one radar detector, then to the detail shop on the 29th, road time (as much as possible) then decal it up, then NYC on the 10th.

Sponsors are coming on board now. But its a lot of work lining them up to say the least. 

Damn this has been a lot of work. But the fun on Bullrun is going to make up for it.

Have you ever had the opportunity to take a car or two or three cars, along with a few of your friends, find a place where just gettin crazy is legal and safe ? Well, thats just what we did a few weeks ago on a Saturday at Delaware International Raceway. Actually we were attempting to put together something the might resemble an audition video. What a great time we had just burning up some tires. Besides this was an opportunity to find any weak links in the GN. It never failed. The rear tires looked like new when we started, now they are in need of replacement. That was the plan anyway. 

All the work being done to the car is just prevenative & needed maintenance measures. Plus its a 1987 what more can I say..

Team GN Tshirts came in today. There great.  

 

sounds like the car is coming along....we have made a few changes but man that date for the run is rushing up on us..how come you made shirts I hear we get a !@#$ load of them at the sign in...may make a few shirts for some girls we may have standing around the car not sure if im doing that yet though....28 days!!

I had shirts made up to give to sponsors, friends that have been helping with the video, etc. and of course between now and leaving for NYC while soliciting for additional sponsors I will want to look the part. And of course, there may be some hotties in the neighborhood.......

I only had 20 shirts made up and they will go quick.

Working on the GN today. New fuel pump, computer chip, tuning, radiator.....

New custom down pipe has been installed. Bought from Kirban Performance with a low restriction converter.  "No Part is a Bolt on part"  had to cut, shorten, and modify the down pipe, deleted the catalytic converter, who the heck needs one of those.

This week coming, its getting brakes all over as needed, trans cooler, oil cooler, braded brake lines on front, trans service, rear service, new set of tires and more, more. . Then its off to my detailer so see what he can do the crappy 1987 paint.

Picked up the GN from my detailer this evening. He did a great job getting the 22 year old paint to look as good as possible. 

Last week me and my co-driver Billy & Chuck  (the GN Guru), installed new intercooler hoses, trans and oil coolers (instead of running it through the radiator like the factory set up)  new 3 core alum radiator, serviced the trans and rear, a little exhaust work, new high vol. fuel pump, charged the a/c and a few other misc items. 

This week:  put grille back in (had to remove it for trans and oil coolers) front brake work as needed, new power antenna (gotta have some tunes), new mini tach in "A" piller to go with boost gauge, install and hard wire radar det, garman GPS, CB radio, & police scanner.  Also installing new tires this week. BFG T/As 235/60/15  

Its all coming together. cya all in NYC on the 10th.
