Oh also if you have Blockbuster ( sure that Netflix also ) do a search on it they have dvd you can rent about Gumball and all kinds of other racing goodies!
Just talked to some guys who said they followed this year's Gumball -- said on the first day they had 9 cars impounded -- and that they caught a Saudi prince in AZ or NM doing 171 in a 20mph zone (150 over the speed limit, wtf!). He got off 'cause he had diplomatic immunity -- they handed him back the keys, and he hopped on the interstate and beat everyone to the finish...
*edit* Obviously this was an American version of the Gumball...
Yeah, Gumball can be quite expensive. In 2008 ist was £80,000 to get into the event. That was because they had to fly the cars from the US to the UK, and then from the UK to North Korea. They also had a stop at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics. Expensive!!! Last year's event was about £20,000 because it was just in the USA.
Bullrun gives you the same (if not better) quality of an event and has always been cheaper than Gumball. Quality events are what Bullrun is all about! You made a good decision to do the Bullrun over Gumball.
One of my clients is a sponsor of the Bull run, they told us if we were to supply their crew vehicles (20 land rovers) then we could have a discounted entry, but for 20 prepped Land rovers is approx $30,000 each so no i don't think so!
checked out the website.. crazy vehicles!!
