Just thought that now we can post our own forum topic, that I would introduce us a little better. This is the Little Red Headed Girl, and I am usually the one typing, as he is too busy driving. Yuppers, the truck driver is driving. Giggles. Actually, we are loading as I type, waiting for these guys to get into gear so we can get moving again.
Tom, Sick Puppy, has been driving for about 15 years. He has been long haul the whole time. I am on the road with him right now, a sort of mini vacation, with our ten year old son. Cullen is loving the time with his dad, and I am enjoying the getting out of the house, not having to worry about the snow and the blizzards. Myself, I am an at home mommy. I do a lot of sewing, beadwork, knitting, you know, the sorts of things grandmothers do, even though I am not a grandmother, yet. (Crosses her fingers, hoping that one of our daughters do not surprise us with this news anytime soon!!!) I do have an "adopted" daughter, who has provided me with a wonderful grandson, a young lady who is amazing, and definitely part of our family. Each of them is excited about the prospect of our being on the BullRun, and are rooting for us to get chosen.
Now, onto the car. Yeah, she is a wagon, the "grocery getter" as KSCoyote refers to us. LOL. I love my little grocery getter, as she is fast, agile, and one hell of a car to drive!!! The handling alone, makes her worth the money. Then there are the heated seats, all around, the Bose speaker system, the adjustable ride height suspension, and you have one heck of a little wagon. When I get the chance to finally open her up, it is like magic. She purrs going down the road, until you put your foot into it, and then a little growl comes out of this so unassuming vehicle. I have had her on some of the worst snow conditions, and she handles amazingly. All you have to do is remember that ice is ice, and not matter how well your car handles, you will still slide if you are not careful. Common sense is all that is needed.
This car is fantastic, and something worth putting up against the other cars out there. She may not look like a beast, but she drives like one!!! She eats up the road like it was nothing, she handles so well, that I have nearly gotten into a lot of trouble in her. I can tell you this, little boys do not like being beaten by a woman, especially a woman in a wagon!!! Since Tom is the driver, and I am the navigator, it makes it a little more interesting. I know my maps, pretty well, but I am hilarious, as I am still not used to my bi-focals, and will literally hold the map to my face to find the little towns that are written on it. I chose to be the navigator, so that he gets to be the one stressing!!!!! I get to be the one sitting back, enjoying the ride, while he is the one cursing at the other vehicles around there....while he menuevers in and out of traffic. (Now, that is funny to watch!!!)
I do have my faves as to who I would love to see on the Run. Of course, Casey and the Bullitt is on the top of the list, after all, Tom has already met him, and it looks like I might get to meet him soon, too. Then there is Prime, if they are willing to put two Mustangs on the show, which would be cool, to showcase the differences in the makes and years. Aaron in the Wart, Trevtrans, the Dime, Pdub, Scott, Nuki, The snakey Viper, XR4Man, The Vette from Kimball, SeaninNH, yeah, I am excited to meet some of you out there, the old crew!!! I know there are a few othes I forgot off my list, and knowing me, I repeated some due to name changes on this site. That is usually typical of me, LOL.
So, shout it out, let me know what is new, and give me your lists....so I can make a proper one!!!
Rhea, that Little Red Headed Girl

Hopeing to see you there. ;)

Woohoo, glad I made the list again.
Rhea, I'm sorry I fell out of touch with you and Tom. I know I went through a spell where I was not so forthcoming with contact. I hope you know how highly I think of you two. I'm really looking forward to meeting you two. This year has been awesome for things on the outside, but pretty devestating at home. I'll tell you more when/if we meet in LA. Till then, its so great to see you guys here.
Rhea... That was a lot of reading there little red one. You know I have to read the post if my name is it.
Hope to see you in person in LA

Honey, I understand what your home life has been like and you have been in our prayers the whole time. Of course you would make my list!!! Now, let's just hope we all get taken to LA and make the cut!! I am off to check email, to find out if we got the letter.
Huge hugs and kisses to you Nuki
Rhea, the Little Red Headed Girl
Honey,
I am hoping I not only get to see you there, I hope we are neck and neck all the way to the end!!!! *Rushes over and plants a kiss on your cheek**
Damn, now, that would make good TV, with the way you and I flirt!!! I do love tall men!!!! Giggles. So, you better save a seat for me on one of the legs of the race, as I think it would be fun to trade out Navigators, could you imagine Tom and Dave riding together???!!!! I could just see them both arguing, wondering what the hell we are doing!!!! OMG, that is funny. I know if they were to choose us both, that they would have some amazing tv!!!!
Huge hugs and kisses, Your little redhaired girl
Rhea
Nuki, we are so glad to see you here, and honey, we totally understand your reasons for keeping out of touch. You have never been forgotten, just prayed for the whole time. You are so loved!!! I would love to see you in LA, and hey, I could go see my sister! I grew up out there, spent 25 years there, so I know the area well. Or, at least well enough not to get killed on the freeway!!! Sounds like you need a huge hug, so when we meet, you will be getting one, ok.
Sending love and hugs and kisses
The little red headed girl
Hey kiddo
Glad you and Tom made it to Utah safely. At this time of year you never know if the weather will hold. Get some rest. When do you guys head out of SLC?

Yhea made it home WOW what a trip hope everyone is fine and doing well am going to try reading thru the post but as I have not been on alot it is somewhat hard to navigate
Been awhile since last,I am once again visiting my house,am taking a load to Miramar FL.Hope to get thru AZ soon so Team Bullitt and I can go get some more mexican food.Like every one else we hope that they cast #3 and we hope to get another call.I have to admit seeing some of the teams that made it made me wonder as it did others .I am interested to see what they came up with for challenges,I never voiced my ideas on challenges(remember old post from old site format)because the ideas I had believe me you wouldnt want to try.Remember truck driver here, translates to way to much time to think of wierd crap.If you dont think so ask me about my idea on Jack the Ripper or my idea for a phsycho killer on the edge of your seat slasher film based on my freaking cell phone#!!But other than that work has been work this year wasnt good with high fuel cost and low freight rates. But we will survive always have.Thanfully I havent had a run in with some of the finer drivers on these glorious roads we have here in the states. My run before I got home started in Millwaukee with 4 inches of snow then had to go into Chicago (still snowing).I-94 north bound was closed because of multiple wrecks. The place I was going to is just off the 290 and as it would happen coming off the 294 onto the 290 there was a jack-knifed rig. After loading in Chicago they had asked me if I would be delivering on the following monday,I must have given him a pretty wierd look.Told him it would be delivered on Tuesday and arrangements were already made. Then explained to him that the loads destination was 60 miles from my house. My route from Chicago actually took me thru Trevs territory,So I am thinking I should get ahold of some of the others on the site like Nuki,Sean,Scott, you know all of us who have been bantering back an forth,We can grab a bite talk about cars, politics, religion, just no trucking(I get enough of that on the road)OK enough for now I have to start getting ready to go to FL
You ever get around to New England let me know. Karoline and I will gladly meet up with you along your journey. We love road trips.
I'm so glad you have returned! You guys were missed!

Bring it on!
It's good to be back. I just wish we would have made the final cut. Cindy was all excited about Tom being a Truck Driver, and told us to emphasize that, which we had done in our video a year ago....actually, in both vids. Things have been busy, and I am getting Tom ready to hit the road again tonight, as he has to be in Florida on Monday. It has been great having him home, and I wish he didn't have to leave.
The kids had a blast with him home, and you should have seen it when he came home. I get this call, and I asked him where he was, as I knew he had been in Chicago, and he told me he was four blocks away, at the truck stop. I was like, "No, seriously, where are you?" and he told me I could come and pick him up. My daughter's boyfriend, who is now living with us, was laughing at me, as I went all spastic, saying, "Oh my God, he is home, he wasn't supposed to be home, he is home!!" I told my daughter's boyfriend not to tell the kids he was home, and went and got him. I was in tears, he was not supposed to be home for the holiday, he wasdue home around the 6th of January, our son's birthday. It turned out to be fantastic, as we have had him home since the 24th, and now, he is headed out again. It is one of the reasons we haven't been on much, trying to fit in the quality time and making sure that the time spent, is great.
So, we are back, and will be back to talk crap, LOL. I miss talking crap with you all. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, and that this New Year is one we all will gain from. Let's just hope that the next rally, for the show that is, that we are all considered, as we were promised, and that they choose more from this forum, and more of the regulars, as our dedication is surely there.
The little red headed gril, Rhea
welcome back Rhea
