I'm sure this question has been asked before, but can you explain the speeding penalty for me. If a team is caught on tape speeding like EVO was, what if any is the penalty.
The other thing season 1 the F150 took video of there speedo and I could swear they were doing 80, yet they were not penalized
how come?

Any chance of running Bullrun tv show in future seasons on the east coast/midwest? I know that the actual rally starts on the east coast, and I think it would be cool to run a simular route.....(plus there are some awesome race tracks you guys could hit up, like Road America, rt66 raceway, Road Atlanta, Daytona.....) just a thought

Production discretion, teams are penalised but they don't know by how much and we don't want them too or they'd figure out ways to get around it. Same applied in Season 1 - penalties are generally applied of camera.
This is a follow up question to swift6stang question.
What would of happened if Dart didnt get on the road and the Evo couldnt. I dont think Evo could get it fixed in a day unless u stop production for a couple of days.
Would the season of been 9 episodes instead?
That's when we can apply one of four rule options we have at our disposal....but we're not telling!
What's the chances of working a deal on S3 to get the show posted on the SPEED website the day after the show (or who ever sponsors S3)? Some of us don't have speed channel and have to rely on torrents.
Great show, it is really nice to have a means to communicate not only with the cast but the production as well. Thanks for taking the time to answer viewers questions.
OK here it goes. I have been watching from day one and after reading the rules here I was always wondering about EVO and their speeding. You answered earlier that there was a time penalty that was given in those instances, that seems fair. my question is about Bear from Team Avalanche getting arrested, it clearly states in the rules that any arrest will cause disqualification. Why did team Avalanche not get disqualified?

I would assume that it is because he did not get arrested on the road. He got arrested at the hotel. Getting arrested for speeding at 150 and getting arrested for being a loud drunk are 2 different situations. We don't know the details behind why he was arrested either.
In his defense, Bear may act stupid... but he souldn't have been arrested, any one of us, cast or crew, could have gone down that night. Roswell's finest needed to prove a point.
Really all of the 1-armed A-holes working in that hotel bar started the !@#$ and should have been arrested, but I don't think the cops were able to figure out how to put handcuffs on without two hands!
I have a question. Just looked at Episode 5 again, and team VW mentionned they don't have windshield wipers. From my knowledge (at least in Canada), that would make the car not pass a safety inspection and NOT street legal.
The vehicles on the show need to be street legal, correct?
So does that mean you don't need windshield wipers in the US? lol

Each state has different inspection laws. Your car has to be legal to drive down the road in every state the rally passes through, but if your licensed in Washington, and your car is licensed in Washington, and your in accordance with Washington law, then you can talk your way past the police.
I know there are states that do safety inspections, but Washington State is not one of them, I know this because my Truck wouldn't pass if there was a safety inspection.
One example of a strange law in Washington is that you can legally remove your windshield, but you can not legally remove your windshield wipers.....
Something about exhaust leakage.... or broken windshield? Maybe it was the tow strap still trailing behind....

My question is about John, the casting director. I'm sure you know most of us who dealt with him pretty much felt left out in the cold because he made many promises that were never kept. How many of our videos from him did you actually see? I can only imagine how many others were told "they like you, they're interested, get your car ready.. etc" only to have him drop off the face of the earth.
I've said this before, a few times on the old board most likely, but thanks for the show. Even back in the Bullwait days, the anticipation and having the forums to chat with fellow enthusiasts did make the long days in Afghan a little easier.
